Sorry, I get a little upset when people say I plagiarize... Also it didn't help that I was having a very shitty day!

OK, im gunna make my game page around week 3 or so.

My progress so far: World map outline.
First town and doungen
Scripts ready and working
Some enemies ready.

For my battle sprites im using a mixture of RTP and Wild-D.

Does anyone have a group of good sprites (at least 50) i can use instead. I want something different...
I have a basic story outline and I have a good idea of the battle system, i'm trying to get more of the world lore figured out so I can start mapping on it.
I've finished planning out Arc 1. When I get home tonight I'll do some more mapping. Going to use stand in RTP for the characters until I can be added to sprite them. Got a good idea of how I'll make the battle system work too so I might start fiddling with the database and setting that up
Anyone know of a good bestiary script for XP that I can use? I was hoping to put in some kind of monster log so you can keep track of how many times you need to fight each monster to gains skills.
I don't know which RPG Maker XP communities are even still going I'm afraid =/

I've done scratch made sprites for ym first scene, on top of a train. Posting them here and asking people to please not use them. They've been put together in this video (ignore the RTP hero, he's a placeholder)

(YouTube link doesn't seem to be working for some people. If it's broken for you too, you can download the raw video here:

Any feedback is greatly appreciated as always
Looking great so far Sam! You've got a pretty interesting style going on there as well, sort of a half-breed between realistic and simplistic. The only thing I'd suggest is that you make the slanted roofs of the train a little bigger, since they look awkwardly flat at the moment. Unless they aren't slopes or something.

Liking the text on the train as well.

That looks pretty cool, Sam. It looks interesting, anyways.
I dunno if I should have two projects at once. I mean, I either get a DQ-esque spark in one day, and then a Tranquil Nights spark the next.. So if I have two projects, one being Tranquil Nights and the other being a generic short jRPG, I can work on both depending on my mood...
I dunno, what do you guys think?
I think it's good to work on whatever you feel inspired to work on. If you don't feel like working on something, any work you do will be of a lower quality (most of the time anyways). I myself alternate between my submission and Neo Lescia frequently.

Thanks Lennon. I might as well release two games for this drive haha. We do have 6 months after all
Hey, if you think that you can make two games then go for it man! Most of us are going to have enough trouble with only one, haha.

Ah well my games won't be super duper complex or anything XD
my eventing skill is very limited (even though I toyed with the programs for over 5 years =_=)

Hey you're doing better than me! I've got four or five different plots trying to play out in my head and I just have to keep telling myself "NO! Focus. Focus. Foc-OMG Shiny! NO! focus..."
