Just finished Ultima Weapon's sprite. Which means I can code his battle sequence and the cutscene before hand and have it be fully comprehensive.

I need to up the EXP drops of the Deep Sea Research Centre monsters so that gaining higher levels is easier. DSRC will probably end up the grind-spot for those who want to defeat the super ultra mega hard secret bosses (and potentially unlock the secret ending).

Working on reworking a game... taking time and some big decisions that I don't know whether I should make...
One being: it took me a few days to make my characters (skills, weapons etc...) and now, since coming back to it, I want to erase them and make skills and class completely changeable throughout the game... uf, this is gonna take a long while...
I'm working on the intro to my RPG, and man, coming up with something gripping and exciting isn't easy.

In the introduction, the princess is captured by demons and within the first ten minutes, you save her. The point is that the demons were simply trying to lure her bodyguard to kill him and retrieve a plot item (an Ultimate Sword that you actually get to use for the first battle). It sets up the plot of the story by showing who your enemies are, establishing a basic goal, etc. without having much dialogue. I'm trying to depict this in a really awesome way that'll make players go "holy fuck, this is cool!" I'm doing take three...

I've already done the demon invasion thing in my other game, but I want to do it differently. The story seems simple but it does get more complex... I don't want to give anything away yet.

My mapping is strong though :)

She looks like a tranny, Deacon! No offense, but I just don't trust this he-she person who looks she wants to pose for a picture with me. I mean, I guess it isn't all bad; I kinda like it, now, giving it another shot.

Trying to cut down Stock Ticker's cutscene limit down to about 121, or so. I orginally had attended to do a few extra ones just for filler, but I might cut them down considering that most of these scenes have little to do with the story or have skits with minor characters that really don't make a huge impact on the story.

Working on something else, but was gonna put this video play on it, at megaupload, seems to take too long for over 1 GB files for the video, firefox seems to crash a lot, and can't use youtube's uploader. Too early in the game to post anything else about it. New project, yes, not actually 9000th project I'm working on, mostly deleting others, some on delay, it's supposedly a comedy game and such. Already interested in enjoying so much. Though, I'll work fixing any spelling errors, cut off dialogue, before getting judged :) Starts with Chronicles, yes, it's true, ha ha, got you going with all those cliche title names. RAGE.

Trying to find a good place to put it, any good sites that can handle 1 GB and faster?

SOLDIER is hold, forever. Properly Remake in the future properly. RMVX for Soldier would look so silly though. I really hate using scripts.
Working on my monochrome project, while this beast of a main project is on hold. Some of you might have already seen the screen in the screenshot topic.

As the maps in the sewer dungeon have a built in elevation, im currently placing tiles with directional pass. The arrows are little helpers wich will be removed later on, making the directional tiles completely transparent.

PS: Its a 9 level dungeon with 70x70 tiles each...thats many arrows to place *sigh*

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Have you considered making the dungeon smaller? Because a 70x70x9 dungeon is bigger than... many entire games. Especially if, as your screenshot depicts, it's somewhat of a maze.

I mean, I generally like combat in RPGs, but even I don't appreciate getting in over 100 battles between entering a dungeon and fighting the boss. Man.

(Visually it doesn't look bad, especially for monochrome, though after about 2 hours I have a feeling I'd be getting really sick of it)

Currently this thing is just a big experiment (graphics and gameplay). Its something like: you got this city and this single, big dungeon - now look how you get going. enemies are visible on the map, there will be X enemy sprites scattered randomly over each dungeon map. thats far less battles than the usual random encounters in games.

Edit: Well i reduce the dungeon size, worked on it last night and it just gets repetitive. Thanks @LockeZ for putting my feet down before I earn the Title of "Mr. Overambitious" (again).
(Hopefully, I don't make a continuous habit about this, but...)


Cutscene: 'Speed Chaser'

Another cutscene (of the many dozens) that I've been typing on my spare time in order to get ready for my next greatest masterpiece (ha?): "Stock Ticker!" A RPG / Board Game / Visual Novel hybrid!

I've been typing this for about 6 months, now, but I'm almost done which means I can starting put things into place! :D

Oh, and did some 'Investment Advisors' today (2nd party members that help you in matches), you MAY recongize a few of these guys, considering 10% of the entire playable roster are cameo characters from other RMN greats:
