I've been playing a really good "roguelight" RPG. Here're the highlights:

1) Character Customization
You build your party with the best character customization system out there visually, and can add up to five traits that determine difficulty (something like Couch Potato makes the game harder, while Brave, Genius or Perceptive can greatly enhance certain builds)

2) Immersive Hunger/Fatigue/etc. Systems
As you gain experience by completing objectives and keeping your characters well-kempt, you can buy perks that mean you have to leave the dungeon less or can more effectively make money/etc. to surive in the dungeon

3) In-Depth Skill Advancement
You build up XP in specific skills, which have their own benefits outside of advancing your classes - for example, building Athleticism raises the amount of time you can stay awake (as does Martial Arts, I think, to a less extent), and Charisma allows you to more successfully persuade or intimidate thrifty merchants or hostile rivals. Develop unique perks by completing skill achievements - paint your dungeons maps faster after plenty of practice

4) Various Unique Races
There are a variety of races with their own sub-quests and special abilities/traits: humans, ghosts, vampires, robots and mummies

5) Base Improvement Simulation
There's a top-of-the-line base-building simulator; spend your money not only on healing items, tents and food, but on enhancing your base for longer, more successful trips in the dungeon

6) Many Engaging Classes
Classes such as Firefighter and Ghost Hunter are useful for their fighting abilities, but there are kookier classes like Chef and Musician that make base life easier or make trips in the dungeon happier affairs. Sully rivals' names as a Private Investigator, digging through their trash and past, or earn some cash redecorating other guilds' bases as an Interior Designer (and hide your emblem somewhere inside!)

7) Gain Celebrity Status - and Free Stuff
You can become a famous dungeon delver among the residents of your hometown, allowing access to exclusive hangouts and clubs and cheaper items for your base and adventures

8) Three Styles of Randomly-Generated Dungeons
You can explore randomly-generated dungeons in Egypt, France and China full of deadly traps and puzzles

9) Romance and Rivalry Between Guildies
In-depth relationships between party members can lead to disaster and in-fighting, or maybe romance and a continuation of the dungeon-delving line!

In all seriousness, The Sims 3 is really cool.
