Have anybody IG Maker?? If somebody have please tell me is that easy or hard and please tell me something about IG Maker. Btw. happy New year!
I found it to be very complicated and not-intuitive... I messed with it for a long time and never made anything. But I didn't get to read any tutorials.
I played around with it for a short time. I didn't feel comfortable with it right off the bat like I did with XP, VX and Renpy. However, you should try the demo version of it to see if you like it.
Here is the best tutorial I found while playing with IG Maker: http://www.nekomuragames.com/nekoworld/2009/game-making/ig-maker-tutorial-how-to-put-the-player-character-on-screen/

It looks like a convoluted, overpriced version of GameMaker.
I love how there has to be a tutorial about putting the player character on the screen.
Yeah IG Maker wasn't very popular because the original reason people followed any of their products is that RPG Maker did all this micromanaging and system design for them so they could quickly make RPGs.

I'm sorry if that tutorial (I cowrote it) contributed to the "convoluted" impression - it should have been named "How to set up the project / world". Originally it was meant to come up with template files so it's easier to study, but for some reason we decided to broaden it a bit and in the process overshot it.
The reasoning behind it was that it should be clearly stated IG Maker requires the authors to set the project somewhat properly before actually working on it. This is not the case with some other game making software, for example in MMF/TGF you can just drag an active on canvas, assign it a movement and it works (this literally takes 10 seconds)... but of course the "setting up the world" and everything that goes with it (collisions, transitions, dialogue, inventory etc etc) part is just postponed and actually involves much, much more work than IG Maker's process.
After that tutorial I tried writing some simpler ones that deal with auto tiling and some simple special effects, let me know if these work better.
