I CAN'T SEEM TO PLACE BOATS/SHIPS/AIRSHIP
Posts
As the title suggests, I can't place them, I managed to place one in a earlier part of my game (I use RPG Maker 2000.) and when I went to place a new one, The old one dissapeared and the new one doesn't appear, Any help?
Well, placing a ship/vehicle is like placing a starting point for a character.
You can only have one. :\
There are ways around it, but I couldn't help you there.
I never mess with vehicles and whatnot.

Damn, That sucks. So how else am I going to make my game having boats? :/
Hmm, if you're using 2000, try messing with "Setup Vehicle Place" on the second page in the event commands.
That may be what you're looking for.

I don't know what or how I can mess with "Set up Vechile Place" I only got the program 2 days ago.
Alright then, say you place the starting location for your ship, and everything is good to go and dandy.
With Setup Vehicle Place you can change the location of your starting vehicle through an event later on when you need your boat elsewhere.
Select one of the three types of transportation you're using, then for "Position" you click the little "..." and from there you can place your vehicle where you need to later on.
Is this making any sense?

Hm, alright. I'm gonna make a quick screenshot tutorial for you.
Hopefully that will help.
Hopefully that will help.
Place your ship. Go to where you want your ship to appear later by creating an event. Go to tab 2. Click on Set vehicle place. Then you will see map. Choose what vehicle you want, then place it on the map to appear once you touch/pass this event.
Does that make sense?
Or just in case you didn't get it:
Create a event>tab 2>setupVehicle place>Choose a place on the map.

Sorry for being Out of topic when i ask this but: How can i make a NPC dissapear after I speak to them
To make a NPC totally disappear forever after you talk to them is simple.
It all has to do with switches.
After all your text and everything, the very last line of code inside the NPC event should have a "Change Switch" command added
now once you have clicked "change switch" replace "strong box" with "Npcgone" or something.
Now make a "New Page" that is at the top, still inside the npc and under "Event Conditions" click the little box next to the first word switch and select "Npcgone" on the second page.
And that should do it.
Once you get the hang of the program you'll see that switches are really really important to making your game good.
I know all this is confusing when you're new.

I'm trying to get a second boat for another part of the land, the NPC thing was a diffrent question.
You do what the pictures above say.
Then when the map pulls up choose where you want the ship to appear..
Ok?
