I always get this message when I submit a game and always forget the appropriate format for writing this. Can someone please help?

you don't need to put a release date in. you can leave the field blank.

I use Day/Month/Year and I think so do most people since thats how its usually used like no one asks what year it is then asks what day and month we're in thats unless....unless their space aliens!
Just go with what your used to, I don't really care much what date such games are submitted, usually just a glancing by the way. If their asking when you started making the game I doubt many of us remember since it usually takes long enough for us to forget anyway, sometimes lies are convenient if such a case is mandatory.... space alien!
