Denied:"The key here is smaller environments with more details. Nature isn't so square, make it feel chaotic and random. Good luck..."
Wait, I have no idea what the heck you guys are saying, if said person who wrote this would elaborate.

make it feel more natural (probably I'm pretty sure thats what was trying to be conveyed)
example: unless it's a plain you should have a few trees in clusters(or patches or what ever)
PlAnTs are needed but don't go wild and they should be in small patches(especially in the wild)
rivers maybe, remember water=more plants
more trees if its a maze type forest landscape
Snowlands need ice (duh)
Mpountains very few trees are needed mainly small plants and caves
This was meant to help if it doesn't I'm sorry
( and don't get mad at me for not knowing what I'm talking about, even though i have limited understanding )

Sort of not really
She said she wanted a nature type feel
and only said a few but you could make a lot of clusters in random spaces
( not too random)
like, say you were making a forest
ypu don't want one here one there! You want to put a few going this way and then an opening
for a secret area or whatever to make it less linear, but you wanna make it so the forest has some sense of direction, but still branch it off to make it feel like a forest, with a few rocks and plants along the way(not in the way)

"Smaller enviorments with lots of detils" Sounds like the said person wants me to make my game more like a Jrpg.
No, more like they want you to do better
Smaller maps are easier to handle, in turn, making your maps BETTER
and you don't have to add so many details with a smaller map
it just looks better than wide and less detailed, but if you can compesate a large map with
good details(and faster walk speed) by all means, go ahead

I already did everything you said. My game is made so you can go where you want and is partially mission based. Smaller maps would kill the idea. Which is why I said the above.
make.more.maps.then.
also could you post your maps I'm curious as to what they look like.
also Did you explain that on the game page you submitted?

Yes, I did explain these things. But I am courious when you say MAKE MORE MAPS. How would they even know how many maps my game had?

I'll bite, since I can look at the game.
The mapping is void of any detail. If you are trying to emulate wide open spaces and such and not be a "JRPG", that's fine. Your game currently doesn't do that.
EDIT: And also for being a game set in the ghetto, it looks more like a majestic JRPG world.

Why would there be detail in the ghetto. Or a poor area in general. In fact, it is explained about the lack of resources. BOh yeah, my games DOES use wide open spaces. It's hard to say it DOESN'T off of screen shots. But I suppose I'll have to restirct my open world so I can put the details you guys are talking about. However, if I do that, I can no longer mission base the gameplay. Ahh, I'll figure something out.
Ghettos have details
how about moss
trash
garbage cans
and probably more, but I've never been to a ghetto

Since when are we denying games for the maps not being pretty enough?
Just how bad were these maps? How was the rest of the game?

The maps are better looking than everyone of my opponents games that all got excepted. He will remain nameless.
My maps look fine. I took shots of the character in places where action takes place. The game itself plays smoothly and is easily acesssible with a decent plot.
P.S. One of my games was denied like 8 times for not looking pretty. They have been doing it for awhile mcgee
