SOUND RIPPING?

Wondering if anyone out there knows of a program that can rip sound effects from a ROM image (i.e. SNES). Finding music is easy, but sound effects are significantly more difficult to locate, so I guess Im gonna have to do it myself.
You can use something like Audacity. You'd just have to isolate the sound from the music... which may not be possible.
I just use windows' sound recorder and zsnes, with zsnes you can enable/disable different sound channels with the keys F5 trough F10, and hope you can isolate the sound you want to rip ...it's not a perfect method but is better than nothing.
yeah you can use any sound recording program but you gotta make sure your recording options are set to "stereo mix" which will rip sound from the computer directly.
if you want to rip specifically from SNES games you can use an SPC dump along with alterego's isolation method to dump your sounds to a SNES music file, which you can then convert using witchcraft

if the game in question has a sound test (megaman x has one by default, in some others you can access it with a code) it makes your job 10,000 times easier
Hmm... tried the SPC method, but it only saves the music, not the sound effects. I've also tried turning off the sound channels, and none of them seem to control the sound effects directly (they share a channel with a part of the music tracks) so that won't work either.

Is there a site out there that anyone knows of that deals specifically in sound effect downloads from games?
