DREAM JOBS?
Posts
Well, to be the greatest chef your gonna have to be better than me. Even though i'm a restaurant manager now i still do cook and put up with idiots burning themselves on the grills. ;)
Interested into the culinary arts I see...
Man I'm trying to find a summer job this summer I'm not old enough to get into
a real profession yet. But although a comedian would be cool, I have two other jobs
that I would love to do.
Freelancer Photographer- You know like for the newspaper who sells the photos to the newspaper not really hired, but they buy off of him.
Video Game Programmer- I don't want to test the games, I want to make them thats why I got RPG Maker, I know there probably very diffrent but hey it's a start
I'll remember that name and I'll be your first customer I might close down the place
though I have a huge appettite

Or being a conductor, even with all the stuff that goes along with it (I've learned from a reputable source it's more than just waving your arms around).
Yeah actually that's all it is. There's a lot of wheeling and dealing and paperwork and stuff to do but at the end of the day the most famous conductors are the ones that seem to have the least practice conducting. Almost all of a conductor's work is done at a desk and not in front of an orchestra.
Haha, my dream job wouldn't really be a real job at all.
I would love to just travel the world, and help people whom I find. I would travel everywhere, and not just the big touristy places. Where the people from those countries actually live. And when I come across someone with a need, do the best I can to help. I guess I would be a nomad of sorts.
Me and a friend are planning a backpacking trip around Europe that we will do in a couple of years, trying to save money for it now.
I am actually at the moment planning on being a missionary, which is about as close to that I can actually get to my dream job. :)

Actually I think the profession you are describing is RPG Protagonist.

Hahaha, perfect. Yes that is exactly what I want to do. Anyone want to join me on my quest?
author=demondestiny link=topic=788.msg11009#msg11009 date=1206455894Well, we are still planning, but we would like to visit England, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, basically wherever we can, just depends on how much money we save up.

I've also thought about being a linguist, though I'm not sure what job opportunities lie in that besides a professorship. Though, I could be a interpreter. I've heard that sign language interpreters get paid big bucks (go figure).
They do pretty well. I go to a university with a special program for deaf students - it has by far the greatest number of deaf students in the country, I guess. There are hundreds of hearing interpreters around campus.
It's somewhat distracting in class, and the deaf students are in their own little world, but RIT always needs interpreters so it's certainly worth getting into around here. (Have fun signing Shakespeare though!)
As for me, I guess I want to go into animation, seeing as how that is what my major is!
If that doesn't work out, though, I have an 'in' at a civil service job.

Also I hear that you can trade a pair of designer jeans for a car.
When I was 8 I really wanted to become a writer, but now, I've changed what I really want to be. Maybe a bio-chemist, or even anything to do with science.
