Btw, that video is very drooling.

God, the cutscenes of this are sooooooooooooooooo ridiculous. It literally blows my mind (especially that part with the turtles and the dancing eyeball thing).
I wanna know how many hours this guy has put into this.

Hey guys,
I finished recording the first video but I have a problem.
There's a constant flickering going on when I record the game making it very difficult to watch the actual video.
Any idea as to what might cause this? I'm using Camtasia 7.1 to record the video.

Try lowering your computer's hardware acceleration. (Display under Control Panel, Advanced under Settings, then Troubleshoot).
It doesn't seem to be possible in Windows 7.
It doesn't happen when I'm recording the desktop, only when I'm in-game.

i have the same (in english); it's entirely dependent on the graphics hardware

Ah shucks, it doesn't work. I was hoping the game past the title screens would stop flickering but it just never stops. From what I understand:
So it doesn't seem to be possible to do so. Does anyone know if there's a way around this? Would a certain screen recording software bypass this issue?
Not possible on either ATI or Nvidia cards since the OS requires it to be enabled permenantly.

Try "Fraps" if you haven't already. It's basic, but gets great results. "CamStudio" is free, but a bit more complicated to use.
Awesome! Fraps works! It's funny, I actually tried it just before you suggested it. Too bad Fraps doesn't have video editing features though, I'll need one of those now! :-)
EDIT: I do have another question though, how can I record the sound of microphone and the sound of the game at different volumes? Fraps doesn't support multi channel audio which means I am stuck with having the sound coming from the microphone and the game merged into one. This makes it difficult to hear what I'm saying at times.

Umm you could either use a separate program to record your mic audio, or have fraps record the mic audio and turn your speakers load enough so it catches both. I think the latter is what most people do.
Ok, the first part is up, I'll try to fix the audio for part 2.
I don't have speakers, Otaku. I like the idea of recording the audio seperately though, that's smart.
Actually they're both good ideas. Since it's not my native language doing a voice-over might not be such a bad idea (although it won't be spontaneous there would be less hesitations and mistakes overall).

In this case where it's a translation wouldn't that be a good thing? :P
either way, as long as this gets done!

YAAAAAAYYYYY! I finally finished doing every single subtitle for the intro sequence at the beginning of the game (the video). It took hours but I made it.
Here it is, the only RPG Maker game I know with a fully animated intro:
