If you're going to have her be nude, either go full pelt or cover up a bit. I'm going to assume that huge black censor on her sprite and face...thing aren't going to be in the game.
Also, please, for the love of God, make a better edit of the head itself. As it stands there's a svelte body, lovingly shaded and made to look smooth as silk itself and it's coupled with one of the worst RTP edits of a head on it's poor shoulders. That, and the white cropping. Try using anti-alias when picking the outline.
Lastly, the map is bare, boring and just plain :< I imagine it's supposed to be some sort of cave that's been converted to a jail? With water? IDK.

It's a jail, just the dialogue getting in the way of the cell door.
Yes, I'm a bad fashion designer. :( She will have nude sprite, no one is going into hentai mode today. It's nothing special.
Then you never see her naked again. :p

my god bruce what did your skillset roll
(Str/Mys charge also help build Drive. One of the Overdrives he rolled was Meteor Storm, which is non-elemental so both physical and magical stats raise it. Yeah he is a fucking -beast-, even if its damage decreases the more enemies are present).

boom goes the dynamite
edit: did i forget to mention that your characters are completely randomized in terms of gender, name, graphics, personality, skills, overdrives and equipment slots/stats (they're tied together)? because seriously going on skillsets -alone- there are 1.2^7 possibilities for the first hero you get... and his skill picks are narrowed down to primarily offensive abilities for ease of play in the first dungeon. the fifth slot's possibilities are probably in the trillions or something, and again that's not even including cosmetic stuff or even stats. just skills.
Curious to try this, from what you've been saying about it. Am pretty into roguelikes and random character generation, but don't see too many of them being made decently these days.

It's deep water. No one could escape though there, that's why the character couldn't possibly do anything about it. SUDDENELY, play the waiting game. :p
What do you guys think of the windows and the texts ? Do they clash with the battle huds in the back ? Is it hard to see ? :)

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

It does kinda look distracting to have them overlapping like that, but at the same time, it's a nice way of making the window with the character stats stay visible while you're choosing a skill.
Having three different fonts clashes pretty badly though. Definitely fix that.

Mr D., it's not a bad idea, but the black might be better if it's a little more opaque - that way you can still see that it's a popup, but the background text and pics aren't interfering as much.
Craze: how does personality affect the character? Does it affect conversation patterns, or mechanics like stat growth ala DW3? I'm all about roguelikes so now I'm pretty psyched to see the final game.

So, if I increase the opaque, it could look like this

But somehow, with the same default opaque value, this guy didn't have the problem

If you say so, wouldn't it be better to just stay with the default layout ?

So should I just stay with this instead ? :D

Covering 100% of the screen with menus is pretty ugly.

DW3's personality system is horrible due to how opaque it is, haha. Here it's purely for stuff like joining messages and battle cries.

She now wears bra. :p Best I can do for the moment.

Yep, slight sentence errors. FUUUUUUUUUU-

I remember someone posting a weird RM2003 battle screenshot at charas.net.
The battle background was actually just some weird decorative picture while the hero was hidden inside the transparent menu.

Hey, just a quick question. I assume this is an appropriate place to ask, or at least a useful one, as it'll get more coverage than the gamepage at the moment.

I was wondering if the small overpass that's on top of this giant cable looks right. It's hard to convey that there's another staircase back there in a 3/4 perspective.
EDIT: To get it out of the way in case people ask, the ground is just a flat colour because I haven't gotten around to placing the associated fluff on it yet.

The brown bit is stairs?
Honestly I had it pegged as just part of the pipe.
Would probably colour the steps differently from where the handrail would be (rather than all just a single colour) and/or extend the steps down onto the ground a bit more so it's more obvious that they're separate from the pipe.
S'just me, though.

I could do something with that, yeah. Thanks for the help. I'll post the results here once I clean it up and put it in the tileset.
EDIT: Like so:
It's breaking the perspective a bit but oh well. I suppose it's necessary sometimes, and it can be retooled in post production if need be.
