RPG MAKER 2000 VALUE! FONT PROBLEMS

CloseAs I want to be able to play .mp3s with rm2k I thought it'd be a good idea to try the VALUE! patch. Installing it caused my in-game font to get messed up, though, and installing the fonts provided with the patch didn't help.
Reinstalling RM2k brings the font back to normal, however I am then unable to play .mp3s so I'm back to square one.
Anyone know of a good workaround? (besides using another Maker) Thanks in advance.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Did you try installing the font patch after installing the MP3 patch? You can download the RM2K/RM2K3 font patch here.

I assume you are talking about the editor, not the engine, because you said it's fine ingame (= at the game engine).
You can't change the font in the editor easily. However, you can use RPG Maker 2009 Ultimate (an RM2k(3) editor extension), you can set the font there as you like.
Oh, make sure you have the right rpg_rt.exe (a VALUE! one) in your game, otherwise MP3s won't work. It should be greater than 720 KB. You can change the game's fonts using the Font Changer or Hyper Patcher 2.

I'll give you another alternative by giving you the download to the full English (patched) version of RPG Maker 2000 VALUE!. No strings attached, no installation and works like a portable version. It's as simple as just running it :).

Okay, new idea:
Revert back to normal RM2k, as it was before. Also use the normal RM2k's rpg_rt.exe
Then just download Disharmony, it allows you to play MP3, OGG, WMA and more. There is even a loop editor where you can set loop points in MP3s, and you can use effects (reverb, etc.) for sound effects if you want.
To use mp3s with Disharmony, rename them to .mp3.wav

Well, basically it should be right, but it looks like you have the wrong rpg_rt.exe (the Value! one).
