CUSTOM MENU STYLE IN RPG MAKER VX

Alright, I'm planning to make a game which has only one protagonist, only one playable character through the whole game. But the game menu is designed to show four characters at a time, so does anyone know how to script a menu stylized for only one character?
Here's two examples. Please forgive the crudeness of these images.
The menu currently looks like this:
I want it to look something like this:
Does anyone know how to script something like this?
Also, the following information would be appreciated:
1. How to change the menu's overall design, as in how to make it so it's not "Final Fantasy Blue".
2. How to change the font. (I have a lot of fonts but don't know how to use them in RPG Maker VX.)
Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I'm just asking about things that did not have tutorials or very complicated tutorials made for people who greatly understand scripting.

I figured that one out in my own, but info on the rest would be appreciated.
I think there are scripts for custom menus that you can download. I don't use VX/XP, so maybe someone else might be able to direct you to them. Actually if I remember correctly you can edit the menu, just search for the script database and I think you can find the menu script and change it. I'm not sure about this though, so don't spend hours looking for it. It's been years since I used VX/XP.
I'm pretty sure I saw one like that somewhere on rpgmakervx.net or rmrk.net. Look in the main script topics there under Menu Scripts and you should find it.
And for anyone who wonders why Inever hardly ever post links, it's because sometimes when searching for one thing, you'll find another that you'll want to grab as well. It's how I roll mah help wagon. ^_^
That, and looking for yourself makes you feel like you're more involved in your project - giving you a small feeling of accomplishment. Aaaaaand they aren't hard to find.

Thanks Liberty, I haven't found one that only shows one character on either of those yet, but they probably have one. I found a really neat one that shows three characters in the party though.
Wow, did you make that? Thank you so much, but I don't have anything to repay you with...except my thanks.
But I forgot to add "Skills" to the diagram, so you didn't add skills to the menu. My fault, but is there a way to add Skills to your menu via scripts?
It's not a big deal though, since I'm gonna be using this on a game where the player has no out of battle skills, I just wanted to know if it was possible.
Also, if you select "Load" in the menu, and then press "X" to cancel it, it will take you back to the title screen rather then the menu. Is this a glitch?
