CloseDoes anyone know if theres any good vampire games here on RMN? The only one I know of on here is Vampiros.
A "Vampire Game" in this case can count as any game with a central focus on vampires. Such as the main character being a vampire (or some kind of hybrid) or a game about hunting and killing vampires. I prefer the games in the latter category over the games in the former category.

Yeah I've noticed that and subscribed to it a few weeks ago.
That game looks great, but also looks like it has more of a focus on zombies then vampires. I could be wrong though, I'm just basing that off of pre-release screenshots.

Try Ara Fell. Be warned it probably has more to do with Buffy the Vampire Slayer than Castlevania, however.
There is a famous German RM game called "Vampires Dawn" or something, but you probably can't read German. If you do, give it a shot.

My German's pretty terrible, I don't know enough of it to read a German game. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I was in a Vampire mood recently, and I thought "hey, somebody should make Vampire RPGs". Then I thought "I have one!". That's when I decided to translate Vampiros.
But yeah, people should make more vampire games... with vampire characters, not vampire hunters.

by the way: there are tons, and I say TONS of German RM games about vampires... it is the absolutely most overused theme for RM games in that country, just because of that old Vampires Dawn game from 2001. It is like what "The Way" is for the English speaking RM scene: The very first solid game with a quite long playtime. Unfortunately nearly all of those vampire games are damn crappy and look the same because they are ripoffs of each other.

Kind of like how Japan has dozens of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest rip-offs that never made it outside Japan?
In my cancelled game The Puppet you play as a vampire. Though I can't really say the game would be any good. It's quite dated. But if you're looking for vampire games, it probably still counts... somehow! Sorry for the plug.
Also, I remember Diary of the Madman being somewhat dark. But was there vampires involved?

The world needs more ugly, monstrous vampires like Count Orlok from Nosferatu and Kain from the Legacy of Kain series.

Yeah, Max Shreck was the man. However, since every other interpretation of vampires is vastly more popular than friedrich murnaus, I'm pretty sure your best bet is to make the game yourself.

I do have an idea for a vampire game, one that's about hunting them rather then being them. But I just wanted to know if there were any vampire games here on RMN because I couldn't find any.
