FRIEND ENCOUNTERING AN ERROR

I got a PM on Youtube from a friend recently, and he's having difficulty with RPG Maker. Here's the message he sent me explaining the error he receives:
"
"Access violation in module 'RPG_RT.exe' in ith address 004994EB and offset 000000348 of type Read occurred."
I remember getting this error a lot back in the past, but I don't know how it got fixed (I did nothing when it happened, and again nothing when it fixed itself). I've been having issues with this recently with a boss fight that's run perfectly fine before, and now doesn't like to work right at all for some reason (it gives me this error when going into the battle). And to top if off, half of the time it'll let the fight work, but the other half that error occurs...
Just wondering if you know anything about this at all...it kinda bums me out that me and my beta tester can't do anything with this thing in place. I am using 1.08 as well if that means anything for the maker version."
So does anyone know anything about this? Because I don't have a clue what to tell him. Haha. Thanks. =)

Sometimes... I found that if you have a set enemy encounter in an event, and then go into the database and modify the enemy and/or the enemy group, when you go back and test the event, this error can occur.
What I found sometimes works is to delete the enemy encounter, save and exit the event, then go back in and re-add the enemy encounter.
Not sure if this applies to the particular error you are having, but its worth a shot to try!

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Yeah, this error occurs when you delete something from the database, and then try to use it in the game. It could be a character, a piece of equipment, an enemy, an enemy group, a spell, a spell animation, a character pose animation...
If Kentona's solution doesn't work, try running the battle as a test battle. If you can run it as a test battle but can't run it in the game, then that means the problem is with your party at that point in the game rather than with the boss.

No, access violation has no specific meaning unless you know what the numbers mean. :)
As I already said at RMRK, this specific error means that the game tries to access a party member which doesn't exist (for example, the 4th hero when only 2 heroes are in the party), and it happens while the game is drawing the hero stats on the screen, during battle.
I am currently looking for the exact reason in this guy's project.
