MAP/SWITCH LIMIT IN RPG MAKER 2003?

I can't find an answer to this for the life of me, at least not one for 2003.

I am starting to feel the need to know what the maximum number of maps and switches are that you can use in a single game. Anyone know what the limit is for each in 2003? I can only find definite answers for VX and XP.
I don't think there's a maximum number of maps, and the maximum number of switchis is like... 9999. But you can increase it with some patch.
Map limit is either 5000 or 9999, I am not sure about that.

Limit of everything which has an "Array Size" button (including switches, variables, heroes, classes, items, ...) is 9999, however, this can be changed easily.

For example, one of the things which my extension named RPG Maker 2009 Ultimate does is changing those limits to 1000000.

Although you didn't ask for that: The picture limit can be changed to 126 using Hyper Patcher 2 - in case you didn't know.

EDIT: Interesting. Choosing the font size named "small" results in text like this.

The patch I've been looking for mostly just increases values for character/monster stats, pictures, etc. Do you know which one that was? I can't tell if it was one of yours or not. Hyper Patcher 2, maybe?

I was just curious about the switches. I didn't think I'd run out of those, but I was originally afraid that 2003 had a 999 map limit or something and I'm currently at 580 with LOTS left to do.

It was probably the David/Goliath patch, but please have a look at RPG Maker 2009 Ultimate too. It has lots of new features, like colored event highlighting, and it doesn't modify your existing RPG Maker. You can even use both at the same time.

Now, about RM Ultimate 2009... Does it replace the RPG_RT.exe of the project?
