WORST VIDEO GAMES YOU'VE PLAYED THIS YEAR
Posts
I like Wal-mart.
I also own WoW (got as a present) but have never played it - I don't feel like spending $15 on a game I already own. I hate that business model on principle. I prefer the DLC model (I'll pay for the parts I want).

Lots of rabid walmart fanboys here.
So sorry I hurt the giant corporation's feelings >:(
Well it's really popular to hate WalMart but you know they actually treat their employees better than any other competing business model (such as ShopKo etc) and their optional benefits packages are way better than the complete lack of other benefits packages similiar companies offer. A lot of smaller companies can't compete with tactics like them selling oil changes at a loss to get you to shop for video games or whatever and that sucks but they are THE DEVIL like most 20-something NPR junkies will tell you.

Well I hope you learnt your lesson: "The bigger they are, the more people they need to defend them." Covers up all their vulnerable spots, or something.
Oh, and Hearts of Iron 2. Maybe I played it too much like Victoria or something, but I'll stick with that.

Actually you do have to buy the retail game in addition to subscribing. Also, buying the retail game gives you a free month or two or something.
Lost Odyssey. The game started off so fantastic, but it just got crappier and crappier.
The actual battle system was great. It was mostly the story direction that killed it. It just went into the anime/jRPG standards that I hate so much.
At least the short stories were great. Why they didn't make the actual storyline as good as these is beyond me.

Yeah wasn't it crazy that it started out so cool and mysterious but then took a nosedive and was like practically a parody? I'm pretty certain that the scene where you have to
I think that it is a really good game in spite of its terrible writing though, and delivers some really powerful scenes here and I there. I suspect that the game was built around a small number of important scenes and that the rest of the game was sort of awkwardly filled in.

I prefer the ones where you don't have to pay at all. Seriously, the amount of money people are spending on this is outrageous. People selling there homes, belongings, anything just to buy extra stuff on sites like ebay.
author=WIP link=topic=842.msg16219#msg16219 date=1210635573Well, I own a copy of the game that cost $40 to purchase. Other games that I've purchased I can play, and play as much or as little as I want. And once I get a newspaper or magazine I can keep it and read it as many times as I want, even years from now. Kind of like DLC.author=kentona link=topic=842.msg16145#msg16145 date=1210601366Well you don't own the game. You own the ability to play the game. I will not pay a monthly fee to play a game I already own. Nor will I pay the newspaper again to read last Tuesday's paper.

I was actually looking at purchasing an island in the tropics on Ebay and I bid like $10 but I backed out once the bidding hit $100 million or so.

yeah, something like that happened to a friend of mine. He wanted this one weapon that must be very rare in the game and started to bid for it on ebay. He was such a friggin retard that he kept on bidding and bought the thing for 14,000 dollars. WTF.
!!!
Seriously? "A weapon in WoW vs a new car. hmmmmm...."
It is the 80% of the people like him that give the rest of us gamers a bad name.

Well I was talking about a real island in the real world.
Anyway I hope your friend didn't actually pay and that it was a joke auction.

True, he is definitely one of those plus that's not the worst thing he has done.
