Apparently, according to these weird Christians (this small group of them, at least), the world will end on May 21st, the Saturday after next. Read the article.

WELL BYE EVERYBODY I'LL SEE YALL IN HELL.
the only thing to laugh at here is your implication that this somehow covers all christians

I am not implying all Christians. I actually read the article, you know.

EDIT: Plus, I used to be a Christian. I know this isn't the common belief held by the majority of them.

according to these weird Christians

not "those weird Christians" as in all Christians but "these weird Christians" as in specific christians from the article who are also weird.

Trying to take offense through semantics is fun
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Not again! Man, the world seems to be on the verge of ending a lot these days...

EDIT: Okay, those these reasons are the worst reasons I've ever heard for anything. First of all, Noah's Ark is one of the stories of the Bible meant to teach you a lesson or something. Nobody actually built a giant fucking ark BY HIMSELF.

I don't even have to explain the other two, since they're just crazy talk.

Edited due to Deckiller's hyper-paranoia.
Looks like he is completely disregarding Revelations which kinda... is entirely about the rapture. The actual Christian belief of the rapture of when it is supposed to begin is when there is world peace. This guy is totally insane.

It's not just that. There are other parts of the Bible that should (and do) prove him wrong.

I wonder if he even believes this stuff, or if he's just trying to get something out of it.
As a christian, I would like to point out that this method of date-setting, as with any other, counts as at least minor blasphemy. We are told in the scriptures(Matthew 24), in the words of Jesus Christ, that no one but God the Father knows the date of the return of His Son. From this perspective, ANY attempt to declare 'it shall be thus-and-such date' is, by definition, an attempt to call God a liar.

@Deckiller: It's neither. 144,000 is the number specifically given for Jewish believers, defined as 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes. These aren't necessarily the only Jewish believers; they're a specific group identified, from what I understand, as serving a specific purpose. 200 Million is the number used for what appear to be demonic horsemen as appearing in chapter 9 of the Revelation. (Aside to Natook - nitpicking, but it's singular, not plural.) The actual number of believers, if I recall correctly, is too numerous for John to count. Considering he managed to number 200,000,000 demonic horsemen, that strikes me as a good sign for the population of heaven.

And is also to be one who works iniquity, correct? I've been brushing up on the Bible and Koran lately. I know that "ye who work iniquity" are often considered on par with those who never knew Jesus.

If you're referring to Matthew 7:21, then yes
