I don't know about anybody else, but if I'm playing an RPG, one of the first things I do when I take control of my party is find the nearest save point. This is especially true for games with extended cut scenes for introductions. If I saw a RMN game that has "10hr. no save marathon!" as a feature, I would not download it.

As for the suggestion of soft saving, I never enjoyed the concept. If that's the only way the game allows to save, I'm not going to mess with it. If there's a "hard save" feature that comes at a cost, such as Save Tokens from Breath of Fire - Dragon Quarter, or Ink Ribbons from older Resident Evil games, I might get behind that.

However, in saying that, I must now admit that I used a cheat device to hack more Ink Ribbons/Save Tokens for the games in question into my inventory so that I was less stressed about the tactics behind the use of said items. So I guess I'm not totally behind the idea of "hard saving" with a cost. I'm a terrible person like that.

Yes. Yes you are.

Everyone is, though.
