Is Photoshop free?

No. If that was a serious question?

@Vionetta - even if you don't use the layers function in GraphicsGale (I didn't bother until recently myself) your workflow would still be faster in it than is MS Paint. If you're that good with paint then you'll only be better in GG.

The right-click colour picker is reason enough to use it imo. Plus pixel grid and any zoom you want and a preview window so you can see how your sprite looks zoomed out whilst you work zoomed in - That stuff is invaluable when working on sprites.

Yes Gimp! you guys should be more on the free software ("free, like freedom, not like "free beer"{it's also no cost}, says Stallman), these guys do terrific things and they need the support!
So I gave myself a trial run with this GraphicGale and I gotta say it's quite a good program to do my pixels on. However, I'm still getting the hang of it so I'm sort of on a slower pace than what I can do in MSPaint.

And to tell you the truth, I did an experiment with it and made most of Reko's sprites utilizing that program. Took me about 1 hour to make 25 poses. I mean it's not that bad, since I've already made a combo video about him starring his lower-tier techniques.

I'll continue my experiment just to see how many I can make for Reko's higher-tier techniques, then maybe I'll post his completed sprite sheet when I'm done.
