There needs to be this giant vault of games made by hobbyists somewhere on the internet that can even resist legal orders for deletion of any one thing.
Going out of your way to go against the will of a game's creator for your own needs is kind of a hard pill to swallow. Then again, who hasn't thought of un-moleboxing a game to see all the juicy coding that went into it?

If it was published on the Internet at some point for all to download, you no longer have any reasonable sense of content control. If someone downloaded your game and kept it, and then later made a vault, you'll have an insane time trying to stop them even if the laws of your country and their country are on your side.. Assuming you can even identify the uploader.

And I think I remember a right to publish thingy in the RMN document already, they're letting people delete some things out of honor but I think they could easily keep everything.

My feelings on the vault are mixed...I do think that RMN should reserve the right to retain any game hosted on it for UP TO ONE YEAR after the author decides to ragequit. If we take the 'Subscription' system at face value, then users are actually investing time/energy in following the games they subscribe to. Having it so that any one of those games could vanish at any time seems slightly unfair to the site's userbase, and by userbase, I mean those people who log on to RMN primarily to PLAY games in this case.
