Closei guess this goes in this section, anyway my question is this: why is it so freaking hard to get these games to just start up sometimes? i downloaded around 5 different games earlier and all but 1-2 of the give a .dll error of some kind whenever i double-click to load them up, i could list the titles if you want or the various .dll's (if that'd be of any help), it just seems to be a fairly common problem :/
Unless the game page itself says so regarding this error, it is probably on your behalf. Check to make sure the author has added RTP to their game- some games will require the RTPs from 2k3/XP/VX.

If you do have RTP installed and what not, you may not be running the games with the correct permissions, or other, common RM* errors. If you're downloading different engine-based games, do a google search and see if they require anything extra. Most developers take steps to make sure their games are downloadable by everyone.
