Interestingly, all of the cool games being revived have pushed Pom off the front page for a while:

Enelysion probably needs to sort out a lot of bugs first. Also, I don't really see what's so appealing about it--other than the maps, which are definitely gorgeous. I played it to completion, and gameplay seemed pretty stock, difficulty fluctuated like crazy, and the story was pretty macguffiny. I'd prefer It Moves to that, at least. Kind of felt non-gamey at times, but it was legitimately creepy.

Yuna has said herself that she can defs do better now (I'm super stoked for Tristian!!), but I think Enelysion is still a great example of what someone can do with the engine! That is, make a FULL FUCKIN' GAME that is super pretty and super cool and has some super cute characters in it! It's also a labour of love, and I think that's really important: Enelysion really was made out of love for game making, and that's just, like, it's cool, man. It's v inspiring. ;w;

I'm certainly glad she didn't make it out of spite. I wouldn't want the teal-haired woman with the eyes of a falcon to spend the entire game skinning her foes and wearing them. Actually, that would be awesome. Make a game out of spite, yuna.

But, yeah, making a game of that scope is a lot of work (I know firsthand), and I respect that. And it's definitely super pretty. The effort's undeniable, but as far as overall experience, it didn't work for me. The reason I played Enelysion in the first place is how often it's mentioned on the front page and on threads like these, and I felt, umm...tricked? I thought Legionwood was much, much worse, though (straight-up terrible, really), and that game's been downloaded like crazy, so what do I know?

Hey, I'd never make a game out of spite. Always a labour of lurve. :3 Because I love my characters.

Games with some degree of Buzz that are also recent. The "Buzzing" area doesn't care when the game was submitted, while the New & Notable area doesn't require as much Buzz.

Is that really how it works? I always assumed it was manually done by someone because it's typically good quality games that show up.
