WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TRANSPORTATION IN AN RPG?
Posts
On that note, you can't forget the cannons that were in Secret of Mana, either.
There's no funner way to get from point A to point B than by being blasted through the sky and plopping on the ground at your destination - novel travel at its finest.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Chickens in Legend of Zelda games. Riding them is especially fun in the 3D ones, but Link's Awakening also deserves an honorable mention for the fact that you could awaken and summon a legendary invincible golden chicken, which is just about the funniest thing ever.
I guess chickens aren't really technically a vehicle, though, even though they significantly upgrade your travel and mobility. (If non-vehicle methods of travel are allowed, then I'm adding the hookshot and the portal gun to my list.)

How can I forget the first RPG I played, and the feeling you got when you got that damn Airship and you could go ANYWHERE you wanted! And, eventually, you could even go to space and the underground, too! :D
Hmmmm...Lufia II had an awesome ship, as well. :D
The little menu thing that pops up and lets you skip parts so you don't have to do all kinds of dull/hazardous backtracking.

Technically according to definition, in that sense a chicken is in fact a vehicle...
I personally enjoyed the ridepod in Dark Cloud 2
But the delphinus from SoA should also be mentioned. Anything able to take on a gigas deserves atleast special mention
I like riding on people. That is why I enjoy RPG Maker games, since you can make the vehicle graphic anything you want. :P
I like the classic ways of transportation in an RPG. The Airship.
I did like, though, that one game, I think it being a Breath of Fire game, where you could controller a Titan like...mountain thing. A giant Golem, and walk around and blasting huge rocks out of the way.

Celesterian Reins in Dragon Quest VI (basically a flying horse). That game had some other wacky methods of transportation including a flying bed, floating island and magic carpet. Also liked the Celesterian Train in DQIX but nothing beats zoom.

Ragnarok will always be the best airship.
No, but the Ragnarok from FF8 was the bees knees because of how you obtained it: totally abandoned in the middle of nowhere, infested with monsters--monsters that you had to kill. It was like you were purifying the ship and claiming it as your own (actually, that's EXACTLY what it was). It was just so cool.
Oh, I forgot to mention HOW BADASS IT LOOKS.

A spaceborne Fireship. ;D
But, you don't fight the Queen of Karnak on the Ragnarok, so, it's obviously lesser?
