I had duty on the 4th. GG defending freedoms and whatnot. Good news is that I got to saw some fireworks over the water on top of the flight deck.

Don't be sure of yourselves, yanks. She owns you and most of America too.

No, actually, bro, that's why we fought the whole war that we decisively won ~230 years ago.

I know you may have missed out on that SLIGHT NUANCE.

@Mog: That's awesome...I think. Where are you stationed? If your life is in danger then I retract the awesome part.

Had we had a less apt general or less helpful allies (France's soldiers/Spain's money/assorted others) we might still be British with the Appalachians as our western border.

You should pay a little closer attention to the "own" part of what I said. Like, literal ownership as in the way you own your home appliances or the way you own shares in XYZ Company.

In all seriousness, what in tarnation are you talking about? Is this like, some sort of illuminati/new world order theory? :P

Chaos that video was... I am guilty for giggling at it because I did.
At this point, what happened two centuries ago doesn't matter. Today the UK is our closest ally.

I assure you I'm no where NEAR as STUPID as one might think.

Actually what happens in the past matters, as that is how traditions are born. Which our world, whole world, is built upon differing culture's traditions, based on many differing factors. For example, the US and the 4th of July.

Also really matters not (which just saying this part as I had to explain it to others, already) if a lot only do it because they can, and because of pride.

Pride is a good thing to have for where you live. If people had no pride, no one would get anywhere. No one would do anything, really.

Also them being an ally doesn't excuse the past. It can only better the future. Hell that is like saying what happened to African Americans doesn't matter anymore; or what happened to the Jewish community many times over, doesn't either.

The past is only here to be remembered (and not relived) and to help better the future, as Traditions help better it, as well.

Well, to be fair, a picture of some arguing dudes from your Parliment or our Congress just isn't that entertaining.

Shouldn't only Bruins fans care celebrate..?

Depends. There's more Canadians in Boston's team than Vancouver's so either way a Canadian team wins or a team filled with Canadians wins. This is why the Winter Olympics are important: It's the Canadian team filled with Canadians playing the American team filled with Americans!

I...was there on that day.

And, yeah, I guess it didn't really matter who won Game 7 on that day, anyways. The Bruins did have more Canadians on their team (Lucic! :D) than the Canucks who had a slew of many different players from different sides of the world. Although, being from Vancouver, I would have loved the 'Nucks to finally win, I really wasn't too bothered by Boston winning the cup...at least after a few days.
