WHAT IF...
Posts
It's come to my attention recently that if a developer ragequits RMN, all of the games they developed get anti-climbing painted.
If a game has two or more (main) developers, and one of them ragequits...what happens to the game? Does it always get removed? Never get removed? Does it get removed only if they were the initial creator of the game page?
This is probably an edge case...but it could happen.

I think that the developer has to manually delete the game, actually.
That. I can't imagine why the staff would take it upon themselves to remove the games of the butthurt. If they did, there'd be less games every week.

and then manually put them back when they calm down and come back six weeks later.
Q4T
Speaking from firsthand experience on the issue:
A developer who quits the site would have to manually delete the game of their own volition. The staff never deletes games form inactive developers to my knowledge. And yes, if multiple developers have full access to a game profile, one could remove the game profile without the approval of the others, and yes, only the staff can currently re-accept a denied game profile. It does work both ways, however, and it only takes one of the developers to petition to have it re-approved.
Yes, it sounds like an extremely unlikely scenario, but it did happen to me once!

Wait, I thought that games from users who ragequit were automatically removed? Does that mean users like Creation and YDS went to the trouble of manually removing all of "their" games? (I ask because Creation removed some games he'd uploaded but never made, most saliently Omega Cerberus.)

Let me clarify this for you:
I translated the game and as such decide whether or not I want my translation to go around. In this case, I wasn't happy with it which is why I removed it.
This being said, I understand you prepared a review for the game so if Kentona can figure out how to recover deleted games (and if it's doable), I wouldn't mind adding it back to the database.

I am pretty sure the mechanics of the site have no way of tracking users who "Ragequit," unless there is a "Ragequit" button somewhere I'm not aware of.
So no, only way it could happen would be for the users to manually remove them. If you were under the impression that the staff pulled their games because they left the site, I've never heard of them doing that and am quite sure they would not do such a thing.

He can, he did it for Valthirian Arc 'U')/
took a while to find it because the game is called Deleted!

Please fix it up Creation. It should be available now.

You don't know about the ragequit button? *secretly points and laughs*
Creation!
The translation was really good bro!
And I'm not just saying that because you may or may not be sending me a free tablet. And this is coming from a real English language native speaking type guy. (Not that you'd know it from that sentence.)
EDIT:
Re-reviewed.
All internet forums should have a ragequit button. It should be large, red and make hilarious sounds.
Disappearing game page problems continue!
If I review a game and the game's creator is so butthurt about my review he takes the game down, thereby deleting my hard-fought review with it...is my review text irretrievable?
And less importantly, do I lose my makerscore?
