GAME IDEA

So, I'm working on a game in RM2k and was wondering if anyone would like to do a collab. This project is not related to the Stella project other than a few terms.
The story is this:
After losing her husband to war and her first born child to plague, Freyja is driven mad with grief and thus decides to find a new purpose in life. She does this by joining, in her husband's footsteps, the military, though she initially does so in secret, as women weren't allowed in the military in medieval times, no matter how much RPGs will tell you they were.
So, all well and good, she becomes one of the most prized military officers in her country of Vinland. But, alas, her secret comes out, and she is set to be executed, when the gracious king Karl Magnus IV comes up with a better solution. They had been seeking a champion to undertake a great quest to investigate the appearance of fell beasts around the great root of the world tree Yggdrasill, Oeppenhet, and she, with her proven loyalty to the crown and strong character was seen as the best choice.
Freyja, though her desire to be in heaven with her husband and child were strong, greatly feared death, and so took the king's offer.
And that's all I really have so far, don't want to spoil too much after all, anyway, if anyone's interested in working on this idea with me, you know, well, erm, reply to this thread I s'pose.

I would like to work with you. But how will you do it, will you send us the game or something, or do we make the resources, because if it's resources, then I'm not your guy. I don't make music, charas, or even facesets, I just create the games, so, answer the question, resources for the game, or just help with the game.
Right now, I just want to make the thing. I mean, I want to do both, have entirely original content and make the thing. But, I figure, the game can always be remade, and right now, the most important part is telling the story.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

everybody wants to be the ideas guy
I would like to work with you in the story, as LockeZ says, everyone wants to be ideas guy n.n'. But two heads are better than one, so... How can I help you in the story???

We're a community of ideas guys, and/or gals. ;D
@MrChearlie That sounds good to me, I agree two heads are better than one.
We can correspond either through PM here or MSN, whichever's more convenient.
Now, I just hope more heads would like to find themselves attached to this body?

Y is pronounced EE but with rounded lips, a is pronounced like the a in spa for New York or London English speakers, so like an AW sound d is always pronounced like d never like j like in dream, g is always hard g never soft like in Gerald, l is pronounced like the l in well, like, never like in milk or mail (never pharyngealised), and i is prenounced similar to y but without the rounding of the lips.

How do you pronounce Yggdrasill? I have no idea how to begin to pronounce that.
Say the "Ygg" part as "Igg" (as in "Iggy"), and the rest normal. That particular pronunciation I heard somewhere in Valkyrie Profile 2 - Silmeria, and it sounded oddly correct to me. However, I'm not an expert on these things.

You could also use this anglicised pronounciation as well, but, the Old Norse pronunciation is so much more fun. ;D
In Hollywood the idea guy gets 10%. The pitchman gets 5%. Its weird, because someone will make up a story... get 10% then someone else will write it out. The writers get flat fees. Yet the guy who came up with the story gets 10%. So weird.
Start with bulletpoints to your story. If people like it, write it :-) If people like the writing... make the game.

Wait what? Source this, this seems really off.
Yes it does seem really off... there have been documentaries done about it especially now that Shorewood Shultz died. But when you see movies or TV shows that aren't based on books and you see "story by" then you see "written by" and they're not the same person. Watching DVD commentaries mentions how person X came up with the story, then person Y actually writes it out.
To me it really seems like a way production companies give their friends money and make everyone else work. A lot of the times the idea guys and pitchmen need to put up their own money to pilot something before a studio will even hear them.
That 10% might be what the company pays for it not the overall revenue generated by something. Some TV shows don't even make money off the ads. They make money from the network that pays the production company.
