LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Oh, boy, Karsuman's gonna have a field day when he sees THIS!!!
BTW, all you need to do is leave Oreos out for Santa on Christmas Eve and demand him to make you your game and, if he's has enough time on his busy schedule, you shall have your game! That's how I got mine done! I didn't need any old fashion working on the program, doing my sprites, looking for my music, etc.; Santa did it FOR ME!!! And he can do it for you too. :D

First, search for a game editor that suits your needs and the game you're making. Example, Game Maker, RPGMaker 2k/2k3/XP/VX, Stencyl, Renpy, Novelty, etc.etc.etc.
Afterwards look for tutorials. Tigsource has a lot for Game Maker. There's a Tutorial written by Derek Yu there. Anyway just hit on Google. If you want RPGMaker tutorials, we have a lot and RPGMakerweb.com also has a trial download and even a beginner's tutorial going on there.

It may be a stupid question, but are you really asking how to make a game, or how to make a game page here, on RMN?
And this is why people tell you to be specific, my friend.
Game-making requires a couple of things. A) a Program B) Dedication and drive to learn what you're doing and actually stick it out. I taught myself most of what I know in RM but I had a lot of help along the way. Depending on the type of game you're making (RPG? Action? Platform? Hentai?) you're going to need different resources. It's not like learning an instrument or a sport, which has one set of rules- game making is a compilation of different aspects such as graphics, music, programming, story and other areas.
Don't jump in too quickly. Learn the ropes, make some quick games to learn the ropes. Then, you are on the path. The path to AWESOMENESS.

I agree, please purge the game design forum. It is a festering pile of unmoderated garbage.
