Im curently making a game in rpg maker 2003 where u can use both magics and swords but also guns (mixing old with new) and i would like to make specific maps where you control the hero and where you can shoot your enemies thats on the map
how can i do this?
how can i do this?
If you have no idea where to start, you don't have a solid enough grasp of the concepts needed to make this. You could follow some tutorial, but really, I'd dismiss this as unrealistic and revisit when you've tried some smaller-scale systems.

i know that i need to use common events and paralell proces but i would just like a tutorial on how to make it
And as I said, some ABS tutorial isn't going to help you make a shooter system. Even if there was such a tutorial, you obviously wouldn't be able to customize it to whatever you're envisioning. If you're looking for more specific help, play around with the Memorize Hero Place command and calculating if the hero's on the same line as the enemy (ie, x or y coords are the same.)
No tutorial's going to magically make you a 2k3 ABS expert. If it's too much to learn, I'm very willing to make such a system and I have very reasonable hourly and flat rates~

His advice WAS help. You need to start smaller to get a grasp on how things work.

If it's early enough on in your project, you also might consider switching to VX or something. I'm sure someone's made a shooting script that you can rip.
Check this site out, http://rmt.divinelegy.com/V1/ you'll love it :)
In fact this is what you're looking for: http://rmt.divinelegy.com/templates/intermediate/abs.html but see how it's in intermediate level? go study the beginner ones first, it's worth it :D

Download this game and study the events. Hard.
EDIT: You might want to avoid the common events because most of it's really inefficient (numbers display for example)

Also you're not magically gonna know what to do, if you don't know where to start, and that is what tutorials do. It would have been better doing what he/she wanted, instead of trying to make him/her feel dumb by wanting to read a tutorial and you trying to say something NOT true. You have to learn it somewhere. You're stating they won't help if you don't know where to start, but that is where they can start.
