OK time to introduce.

I am Wazzatron

Well I'm 18 currently and I'm currently going through High school (how fun.) and am working on a game of my own which i submitted though it is still pending :( (on another note how long does it usually take to get through this pending process.)

If it weren't for work and school i would devote my life to making games because of the enjoyment i get out (even through the tedious programing.) of it.

Current game that i am making is called imminent frontiers which will be my first decent game made (i don't count the crappy PAC-man style game that we made at school).

Welcome to RMN! Share your creativity with us!

The acceptance of a game submission is dependent on a moderator. Who's minding the submission queue may have some effect on how fast it gets looked at, and what determination (whither it's accepted or denied) is made. There's also the requirement to have at least three screenshots that are part of the game's page. Without images, the game might not even appear on the queue, but I could be wrong on that point.

For more information, look at this thread.
Your game's mapping needs a lot of work, but you seem earnest and active, so I will accept it.

(be warned though that people will be critical of it)

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

You could always go to school to study game design! Just, uh, study something else too. Because, at least in the US, there are about 500000x as many people interested in getting into game design as there are job openings in the game design industry.

In the meantime, there are infinite openings for unpaid amateur game designers, and we are always happy to have more at RMN! Contribute lots!

Looking at the images in your game, the rooms are super duper huge and empty. Try making buildings closer to this size:

If you look at existing games or at professional games or just at rooms in real buildings, you will find that this size room is far more common. It looks vastly nicer, and also keeps the player from just walking and walking and walking through pointless empty space.

I don't mean to just suddenly be like "NOOOOOB. YOUR GAME SUCKS, GO HOME." As I see it, one of the best things about sites like this is that you can get help and advice from people who have been using RPG Maker for years. If you are having problems, we are typically glad to help, even if you didn't realize they were problems!

High School tends to be a 7-hour (depending on the material studied that day, some of the time may be worth going through) bitch that eats up time that could be spent on game design..

Then again, my first period is my Comp Sci class where the teacher practically lets me mess around with RPG Maker VX cause I do that well in class :p

Anyway, hope to see some good shat out of ya :3

Man don't worry everyone jump on the criticize boat so i get more input

My one problem is how do i get the room smaller then 15*20 in rm2k3 because that is the smallest room and i haven't been working on it for long. but I'll be happy when i start working everything out :)

No idea, you'right, maybe putting transparent tiles all around where the black is? An idea, never did this. (Some one will come and answer, patience..)

Well, still no one...

Yeah, as the indoor screenshots I posted above show, you would just put black tiles where the player can't walk.

Welcome to RMN! And yes, we're all about offering civil and constructive criticism. Feel free to offer your own feedback to other projects as well!
Welcome to RMN! Yes, the criticism here is very good; I've only been here for a little while, and it has already been a big help with my project!

And as you can see LockeZ never misses to come at the rescue, always a little late, but never fails (joking), have fun!
