Hey there!
I'm Matt, and I'm not so good with introductions. >.<'
I'm a brazilian maker, beeing "having fun" with RPG Maker engine since I was eleven... That would be like 9 or 10 years ... Anyway, I use to do these indie games for fun.
Have some concluded projects, all them in portuguese, Here in rpgmaker.net. One of them (The best one and probably the only one that I want to translate to english and I will) can be already downloaded. If you want to see it, here's the link to Orca (Game) page:
http://rpgmaker.net/games/3614/
I used to work with RM2000, but when VX come out, I just loved the engine (actually, i liked the strange-chubby-like RTP than anything else on the poor engine XD ) and since then I try to do my games in it.
Don't have an especific area on Maker, do-all-stuff should work. And that's it, nice to meet you. =P
See ya. ^^

Not gonna hype any more than I've hyped him in Orca's gameprofile. xD
But well, welcome him, I must add that he's an exellent writer and can create thrilling and exuberant characters and settings! And no, I'm not being paid to say that! It's just that I'm his fan, as much as a fan of his works as I am of many works of you guys and that's REALLY saying something.
Well, anyways, welcome (again) :D

Both me and Calunio come from my country. Are we bad makers? (I may not be awesome but at least I believe I'm decent - though I have no games to prove)
Our contry beard bad makers because there's a huge ammount of 11yrs old boys who are internet junkies sending up Hero'sQuest with Hentai, and there are multiple inner fights. But besides that, there are many really awesome makers, and HacredSall (of wich I've commented before) has a really nice and skilled userbase comprised of great and creative programmers, artists, writers, etc.
Matt is one of them. I am another. There are some more too that I wish that could pay a visit to RMN xD
Anyway it's HIS topic so I should stop pestering around e_e

There are bad RM games from EVERY country.
Sorry, I just felt that needed emphasis. Anyways, welcome matt and enjoy your stay. Your project has a weird graphics style, but if it ever comes out in english, I could probably push myself into playing it, as I have other games lol.
Wow, I have greetings, haha! XD
I've heard abour stories about RM in my country... Well, like said up there, there are bad RM games everywhere (at least I guess... >.< ) Hope mine (at least Orca II, that I want to translate) doesn't fit in this category. =P
Thank you guys, you're quite receptive.
See ya. =D

I'm the one guilty for spreading bad rumors about Brazilian games. :D
But indeed, there are bad games everywhere.
The problem with Brazilian gamemakers is that they suck English-speaking balls (for lack of a better term), and they name their games with English titles, even though their games is in Portuguese. That's ultra absurd in my opinion. And sometimes they name items in the game in English too. "VocĂȘ encontrou Sword of Gods". Sad.

Alas, same thing with the French games.. though I might have detected a change with the titles recently?
Well, that's true. =P
Most of all brazilian makers are childs with age between 10~14, and at that tme, they only want to reproduce games they see in consoles or big pc franchises. We don't have games in PT-BR on or playstation or nintendo consoles, just in english. I think that's the reason why these makers do things in english... That's what tey see on their references of a good game. =P
But I always say that we need to be proud of our languages, and use (in our case) portuguese in our games. English only if all the game will be in that language, same for any other language, lol.
Edit:
And yeah, Matt is the short version of Matthew, actually, Matheus in our country. =P
