Oh crap. I had that game on my PC WAY back. It was called Tentacles something something something. I'll edit the post when I remember.

Yeah, that's Day of the Tentacle. One of the old good LucasArts adventure games. Don't remember if it came out before or after Full Throttle, though... I only played DotT and Grim Fandango. xD
If you want to get technical probably Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles or Starless Umbra a RPG Maker game.
