Erm...quite embarrassed, I should know this, but, no matter how much I try, I cannot for my life make the defeated enemy run away and disappear after battle. I tried this ok: after the battle: I had the enemy lying down on his belly defeated, and I want him to get back up and run away then disappear off of the map and never return. How do I do this?
Through the use of "Move Route" and "Set Switch" event commands. There is lots of information online on how to use these features. They are a common first barrier for people learning how to use the RPG Maker software.
Are there any tutorials for this? I've exhausted my line of enquiries with YouTube and Google and I'm all out of ideas. Ah, yea, think I may have the info, I am looking for. Cheers. ^_^
I cannot find a single thing on the internet, I have exhausted my line of enquiries and no leads...so how about some help now, if that's cool....
I assume you're talking about RPGMaker. °°

Do you want the enemy to move after the battle has ended, in the map, or do you want him to run away DURING the battle? °°
to run away after battle, a bit like team rocker in *shudders* pokemon games if that makes any sense. but when the battle ends, i want the enemy to be lying down groaning his butt off because the hero beat him in battle, then getting up and saying "you will regret this" sort of thing, then running away and off of the map.

First of all, what program are you using?
Do you know how to do a cutscene? You need to do things like Move Event -> Change Graphic to enemy lying on the ground, wait 4.0s, change graphic again, message: you'll regret this, move event to wherever, then a switch to make him disappear.

wait a minute this is the vx/2003 version isnt it? i need the xp version for now....
Every RPG Maker program is capable of this. Event commands might be renamed or repositioned, but shouldn't be hard to figure out.
