South Korea has already put its military on full ready.
Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't this been the case since, like, ever?

Everyone seems to forget that the two Koreas are at war with each other. Seriously.
At war with a cease fire. You don't keep your army on full alert 24/7 for 60 years.

More of a "cold war", really.

In any case, I hope the lives of North Koreans will get better in the days to come.

... I doubt the war will be that cold for long. It seems the new young leader of north Korea wants to try to show off their power a little more then the original. China is definitely backing them, just like the last korean war. The entire area is about to become the next major conflict in the world. As for him, screw Kim Jong Il. He was a enemy of mankind, a defiant threat to our survival and enjoyment as human beings. As far as I am concerned, he was not a human. The attitude that we should mourn for a dead human, despite his actions, is the reason we have become weak and will not win wars. He was the enemy, and the world is better with him dead.

Or we would if his successor was not such a suckup to china, and showing more aggression then Kim Jong Il. I rather have a dictator that only threatens, then a young man ready and willing to fight. The key word here for this guy is that he is YOUNG. Too young for that much power, in reality.

^ I'm only speculating, but if he's that young, I imagine the army's generals have a hold on him.
Also, doing what China disapproves of would be biting the hand that keeps their crappy little tinpot dictatorship financed. China's more interested in making money and buying the world than turning their half of the planet into a nuclear wasteland.

And I an only looking at history, at China's actions in the last korean war, where they even went to the extent of digging a tunnel from china to Korea, all in order to make sure american soldiers would not get a foothold on Asian soil, but it has not changed. The tension is still there, as are the anger of the people.

Remember when there was that weird thing about Kim Jong-il having invented an invisible phone? Well, that's a complete LIE:

OR, and this is only a possibility... They can not find it, because they can not see it? XD
The Late Night TV shows have told a lot of jokes about this.
I'm going to South Korea next week so if the North plans to do anything foolish I hope they hold off until after I leave...but seriously, my Korean friends don't seem to think it's any more dangerous than usual. The problem is his son is such an unknown quantity, so while I'm sure they wouldn't invade they might make another show of force like they have in the past.
For anyone who hasn't seen it I recommend this report: Your text to link here...
