Newbie on RPG Maker XP Topic

Hello, I'm new to this forum and clearly new to this Program I found
I was really excited to find it first: finally, I could make that Mythical Magical Legends - my planned RPG - could come to life
But sadly, I don't know how to start or even make an opening scene @@;
Can somebody guide me in using this program.
Also... is it possible that in RPG maker XP you can enable your characters into having different 'jobs' and switch them without changing the element (kinda Final Fantasy-ish)

Welcome to the forum. You might want to check out the "development and resource guide" that can be found up the top of the "help and requests" section. I think i spotted some things to do with XP there.

I don't know...but why not open up the Help file
included in your product?Or just mess up with
the controls...Experement with them!

Short answer; use an autostart event. Real answer; play around with the engine and make mistakes like benjie said. Try out every command and see what happens. Also, the help file will really be a great resource for you at this stage.

If you want jobs, try the FF job graphics from sithjester's site:

Also yeah, check out the program for a while. Try rmxp.org if you want more guidance; it's (oddly enough) based around RMXP!

The links and asvice previously posted are very good, and if you need any other specific help with events and whatnot ask around. I like to help people in RPG Maker XP if the problem is with anything but scripts.
