Easter

WELCOME!
Alright so right off the bat, I notice the great art. It works well with the theme and adds a child-like feel to the horror (which of course makes it creepier), so kudos to whoever was responsible for that.

the basic gist
Easter is the name of the main character. He and his friends rejoiced for a reunion, which ended up going miserably since they got lost on the way. They decide to take shelter from the ongoing storm in a house they come across, which I admit is a pretty generic plot, but it's great setup for the scares nonetheless.

the story
The characters have nice personalities, and I loved how to camera trailed along the character when you moved. The plot might be generic, but the way this game is setup is not.

the background stuff
The atmosphere is BRILLIANT, along with the EVEN BETTER soundtrack. The gore sounds were great and the music was great too.



Although the story started off pretty boring, it got much better and SO much more unique as soon as Easter and Ollie went to investigate to sound coming from upstairs.

gameplay
The gameplay was phenomenal and the graphics were amazing too. I also personally loved the fact that the flashlight was in a cone and didn't just light up the whole room altogether like what some short horror rpgs do. The controls were somewhat wonky for me, soicne im sued to using the z key instead of th enter key, but the spacebar works just as well. The pause screen is great, and the game overs have unique art as well.

nitpicking (bugs and typos)
i didnt come across any major bugs/glitches and i might've overlooked some, but otherwise the game was well made and the vocabulary and grammar was used efficiently and matched the personalities of the characters.

and that'll be all!

Brilliant game, 10/10 would DEFINITELY play again.
