It should be "startle" actually, not "startled." "I'm sorry, Miss" may also sound a bit more phonetically pleasing.

The map's real sweet though. Maybe a tad dark, but I'm liking the general atmopshere.

A little bit, yeah. I would make the dark areas a bit brighter, or if not, I would at least add a couple more light sources.
