Progress Report

Final Fantasy VII Regenesis - Part 2

We have finished Part 2 and now we will start translating the game to English.
Many things have changed in the history and some initial cities of the game have been expanded.
Now I ask for patience until part 2 of the game is released. Thank you.

Miscellaneous

Midi or MP3?

I'm seriously thinking about swapping all the themes in the game for the MIDI format. The game already weighs 1.7GB with the MP3 songs with Part 2.
So that the game doesn't get so heavy, I can replace the songs in MIDI format with the game's MP3s.

Final Fantasy VII Regenesis - Part 2

We are at the end of the development of Part 2 of the project, maybe we can already release Part 3 together, so the game would be released already completely.
Several bugs and errors that were in Part 1 have already been fixed.
Several new command items and an Enemy Skill system were added.
Added 15 new Summons with different animations.
The level 3 spells will also be available from Part 2.
We will still release a beta version before the game release to discover possible bugs and errors during gameplay.
From March 1st, we will start selecting interested players to play the beta version.
We will come back with more information soon.
(Note: The Game has not been updated yet and we do not have an official release date yet).

New Update 1.0.4

Updated Game!
1 - Limit Break system was changed:
The Limit Break System is now based on the original game where each damage the character receives, the Limit bar will fill until it is complete and the character reaches the status "Limit" , releasing the Limit command for the character to use.
Once the Limit Break is used, the Limit Break bar will return to zero.

2 - Some of the characters' texts were translated which were not in English.

3 - A new Logo Art was created for the game.

4 - The character's option to jump to the enemy and attack was removed because of a bug where the character was paralyzed and remained in front of the enemy.

5 - Also 2 extra items have been added to the game:
Steal - Allows you to steal 1 of 15 different items from an enemy while the character attacks with a 50% theft percentage.

Limit Plus - When equipped in a character, the filling speed of the Limit bar fills twice as fast.

6 - Several graphic errors have also been corrected.

About the development of this project

Basically the idea of creating a continuation of Final Fantasy VII came about in 2010 inspired by the secret ending of Final Fantasy VII Dirge Of Cerberus, when a former Shinra First Class soldier who was missing wakes up after Chaos and Omega return to the planet.

The project then began to be developed in the RPG Maker 2003 on May 19, 2018 with only 1 member in the team (Me). Today the project has 15 members in the team who helped create the story of the game and review the texts of the characters.
The game was not having so much repercussion in Portuguese in Brazil, so with the request of some fans, the game was finally released in English on 10/11/2019 here at RMN.
With the release of Part 1, the game continues to be developed and we intend to release the Complete Game (Part 2 and Part 3) until 18/05/2020.
The game was recently updated with the change of the graphics of the main characters so that the project does not depend on Sprites from other games.
The game has 3 Parts and we are already working on the development.
