Good morning, what year is it?

Boy, it has been a while huh? Lemme dust off this blog a bit...


Development has been slow to put it mildly thanks to our team suffering major depressive episodes, but there has been some progress made. Here's a little taste of what to expect in Chapter 5.



You mustn't creep about, little haniwa. Granny hates those who scurry about like rats...

We've also been working on omake content on the side as well, so please be patient with us while we squash some bugs and polish Chapter 5 to a sheen!

Why, seasonal depression? Why?

I know I said I'd try and work on Chapter 5, but well... Seasonal depression has a way of sapping your energy and hard.

Unfortunately, I'll have to place production on a brief hiatus... at least until our dev team feels a bit more motivated. Please stay safe and happy holidays!

Brief Hiatus in the summer

​Starting the week of June 20th, production for YM&NM will be put on a brief hiatus for vacation. It will continue after that (if I can find the motivation to do so).

Bug Fixing Build

- Fixed a bug that made it impossible to finish Chapter 4. WHOOPS! How embarrassing... It should be possible to complete chapter 4 now. Let us know if there are any other errors I've overlooked!

A short update

Oh wow, it has been a while hasn't it? Don't worry, production is still going. Decided to fix up a few things to prepare for the next chapter, mostly audio-visual related.


- fixed up some sound effects for the students at Yutakano High in Chapter 3 and 4. They sounded like kindergarteners instead of high schoolers.
- removed some voiced lines that killed immersion or was just mistranslations.
- attempted to change to photo of Nanashi and his mother in Chapter 2. He should look like a teenager now.
- revised some dialogue in Chapter 2
- replaced some of Haru's voiced lines in Chapter 1

Hey, we're back!

Sorry for the long wait, but the latest bug fixing build of Chapter 4 is up.

Changes:

Chapter 1
- added a save prompt after the opening cutscene in case you want to get the DEAD END by leaving the apartment
- fixed some unpassable tiles

Chapter 2
- fixed some misaligned text if you inspect the textbook in the classroom
- fixed an error where you could go back to the classroom without talking to Nanashi after he tells off the stalker
- replaced the picture of the dead stalker
- minor dialogue fixes

Chapter 3
- added a run prompt when retrieving the candle from the nurse's office
- revised some dialogue before the Revenant!Akiyama chase scene

Chapter 4 (hoo boy)
- fixed some misaligned face graphics in the menu
- fixed the cutscene where Kurenai was missing when you walk into the manor. She should appear properly now.
- fixed the doll puzzles. Man, that was hectic.
- a very minor one, but fixed a small bug where it was possible to go back to the mansion foyer after following Kurenai.
- fixed some bugs where you could get commentary from Marnie... when Marnie's not in your party.
- added a resolution script. Press F6 to go to fullscreen. It's a bit grainy, but it's better than nothing.

Turns out some major bugs accidentally slipped through while cranking out Chapter 4... I'll be putting out a quick bug fixing build that'll hopefully fix that. Thank you, Doreki Takase for noticing. Downloads are temporarily down until it's properly fixed.

Not dead yet

I'm not dead, dudes. Motivation to work on Chapter 4 is here and there, but it IS being done. I still feel some parts are a bit lacking (mostly because I can't think of any well-known "cursed" objects that aren't already in museums). My girlfriend helped me with one of them and for that, I'm thankful.

Depression has also done a number on my motivation. Part of me is wondering if this chapter is just "filler". The truth is, Chapter 4 is supposed to be the final breather episode before things go to hell in a handbasket. When Nanashi's around, things never are what they seem...
