A black magic temple on the edge of a deadly swamp. Protected by unholy beings and magical illusions, this place holds numerous traps and dangers for visitors. Vivien, a witch coming from the kingdom of Traventor, however, has made the firm decision to enter this place. She is looking for something here and she won't leave until she finally holds it in her hands. Will you help Vivi reach her goal?

Alchemistress Vivi is a code-breaking logic puzzle that should take approximately 20 to 25 minutes to complete. In each level, up to 6 magic items must be arranged in a certain order to cast powerful spells. Every try results in a feedback that helps the player to eventually find the right sequence. But watch out: There's only a limited number of lives available for this.

This game supports two languages (German and English).

Oh! Mastermind! Or Bulls and Cows!

Came here for the Portmanteau title. of Alchemy, and the standard asset of Vivi!

I always am up for a game of Mastermind!

Yeah, I think I did quite well with the title. :) Have fun with the game. Vivi counts on you!

You're magical to me.

Yeah, that is a grade A+ Portmanteau! :DDD
There are a lotta things called "Alchemistress", apparently!

Well, this is one of the good ones! The items obscure the numerical nature of the puzzle that it makes me not logic right for a bit, which makes it that much more puzzling, and therefore, fun!

I set myself a Only One Life challenge, so I got through it with all 12 possible lives in stock! Woo! Took me about an hour? Or less?

~25 min is right, for someone who doesn't mind losing lives!

And nice reveal of the story!

Sequel? This is a cool form of magic that I thought about when I took a break after the third, since combo systems of spells are already a thing, just need to make it just a bit more puzzle-y...

You just gave me an idea, sir.

I have now added two more difficulty levels to choose from and one of them (insane) does exactly what you did. You have to pass the game without losing a single life.

New version is up. Stay tuned, folks.

Woo! I contributed~! :)

Here's some more thoughts! But the game is fine as is! It's not too long that it can't be done in one sitting.

But when I stopped, I forgot what 1..2 meant. An always accessible rules explanation, instead of having to start a new game every time? ... And maybe a load button instead of having to quit to do it?

... Being able to save makes Insane a bit easy... But I haven't played it, I dunno if you actually disabled that. Just guessing that you didn't.

Can I get a Devil Insane for the hardest challenge, where no saving? But also no Cutscenes because that makes it take so long?

And then beating the game gives a scene select or something? ... A thing that checks if you've beaten the game once, might be hard...

You guessed right. Saving is still available (not at every stage, though). I don't plan on removing the cutscenes for any difficulty level. Maybe a skip function would be a thing instead. Let's see. :)
With how innovative you made the gameplay! I just thought its only fair I should give your game a nomination for Misaos 2020! ^_^ :D You really know how to make creative game mechanics and this one's a great release for the year! Best of luck to you!! ^_^
Thank you very much, Starmage. This means a lot to me. :)
