Your friend has died and you have to time-travel in order to save them. Except you don't really want to. And something goes wrong in the process.
A sappy game about horrible people made simply to justify my purchase of a used physical copy of RPG Tkool 2000.

Features
— plot loosely inspired by events that occurred to me during first half of 2022
— can be finished in about five minutes
— multiple endings that depend on both the right choices and RNG events (but mostly choices)
— in-game achievements with crappy bonus artwork

Content warning
Even though this is definitely not a horror game, there are some sounds and visuals some players may find disturbing, plus there can also be an audio jumpscare at one point, so please play with caution.

Troubleshooting & Other Important Things
See readme.txt for more info.

For EasyRPG Player users and those who only have 3 MB of memory on their HDD: it is strongly recommended that you download and play the lite version of the game (now available for download here) instead of the regular one. No need to download both archives, pick the one that's suitable for your machine.

For potential streamers(?): today I learned that a tiny portion of the game is now copyrighted (oof), so be wary of that while streaming/filming letsplays.

Need help with completing the game? The downloads page now has a text guide with a bunch of pictures you can check out!

a very late final update *blushing face emoji*

Hey! Over the course of the latter half of 2022 I got a bunch of bug reports from other players, as well as an idea to make some sort of a walkthrough guide with some artwork of my own based on the game's characters just because. Coincidentally, I've started my work on fixing bugs along with guide writing around the same time I noticed I got a Misao nomination in the Eye Candy category, which is really, really weird, but appreciated nonetheless!
If you're one of the two people who nominated me, first of all, thanks! And second, I hope you enjoy looking through stuff I've drawn and placed in the downloadable guide. It even has a couple of bonus digital Valentine's Day cards you can send to someone if you like.
I've also decided to upload the lite version of the game here since I'm planning to delete the game's itch.io page soon. Or not. I'm still thinking about this. It'll be updated soon as well, though.

Not sure if I'm able to get back to making games in RPGMaker this year, but I do have some interesting ideas I'd like to turn into something playable and worthy of posting here eventually. Until then, I'll be simply browsing RMN occasionally for fun new games to play and possibly review should they work on Linux.

Edit: wait what do you mean NDM actually won an Eye Candy Misao c':

I'll start with that I love the artistic nature of this game but it's painful to look at it and read. It's seemingly becoming more normal the past few years even from people on this site that have made or worked on decent games.

Thank you for the comment! Not sure if you're referring to either the generous amount of text or the primitive pixel graphics with lots of dithering (or both even) but sorry to hear you're feeling uncomfortable playing this and games with similar elements, catering to everyone's preferences is hard, after all.

It's definitely on me, getting older! Best of luck with your game and what I can see is that you're really talented, keep it up!

edit: The text is pretty smooshed after getting the harmony dll and setting compatibly to windows7, it's been awhile for playing rm games for me and I got a new comp recently. Have you come across this problem?

I had the same issue with the text. I was able to sort-of-fix it by replacing the RPG_RT.exe for Ninth Day Memorial with the one from A Blurred Line; it changed the font to something legible, but not the font in NDM's screenshots and not the one ABL uses either.

I'll have to try that and now you mentioning it's kinda ringing bells of what I used to do to fix the solution. I don't fault the developer for this because I know its a problem with some games and newer/ish computers.

Thank you for the kind words!

Huh, never came across anything of the sort since I used a decently aged Windows 7 laptop for making and testing the game, but I do know someone I could ask later to verify if they have the same issue as well. Guess this is what I should have expected when importing and using the earlier version of RM2K haha Thanks a lot for pointing this out!

A review is incoming soon, I'm sure :) And from that there's a screenshot to see what we mean. I don't point it out in the review since I did here and it didn't detract from my score either because I know it's an issue outside of your control.
Yeah, getting RM2K games to work on a modern computer can be an adventure by itself.

I liked the game, though! An emotionally resonant story complemented by expressive art. Very nice.

Glad to hear you liked it!! Out of curiosity, for how long have you been able to play the game?
Probably around 2 hours? I think I saw all the endings, but there are a few pieces in the art gallery that aren't unlocked. Specifically, "Left Out Of Dodgeball", "Independence Day", "Nobody Else To Cheer" & "The Origins".
Thanks for letting me know (and for playing for that long, too)! Guess I did underestimate the time it would take to complete the game 100% after all c':

Also
The Origins can be unlocked after getting all the endings, but only (not really) in the latest version, since older versions contain bugs that render some of the endings permanently locked when a certain condition is met, so that's that.

Maybe change 5 minutes in your description to 2 hours! XD Even I played longer than 5 minutes!
I've discovered a potentially game-breaking bug that needs to be fixed ASAP
You can't use the underwear as a memento.
