Pre-Second Demo Progress Report

Hi everyone!
This is the first time I have done a progress report for this game.

The main story for the second demo is finished! It has three out of four planned endings. Still, the battle is not balanced yet and I want to add a few things before releasing the second demo.

I also changed the battle system into a more conventional one. In the second demo, the player can control every named character in battle in contrast with the first demo where the player can only control the main protagonist. I still think that the idea of only controlling the main protagonist and hiding the HP/MP/TP of other characters in battle was good and unique, but it seems I could never make it work.

I also added another way to fish. In this fishing minigame, the player needs to keep the fishing buoy in the center while dragging the fish to the finish line. This mechanic is stolen inspired by a certain full-loot PvP MMORPG. Well, if you prefer the former fishing minigame, it would still be available in the game.

The next feature on the list for Foreign Mercenary in Port Town is new equipment and subquest. I also need to draw the achievement (“Finding” in the game) icon for acquiring the second and third endings achievement.

That is all the recent progress without going into the boring technical side. I am still unsure about the release date of the second demo since I am developing this game casually.
