The Lord of the Rings

This update fixes a few fatal errors from the last one, namely the endless loop in the end cutscene, freezes on a Moria elevator, in Ithilien, and the Tower of Cirith Ungol, and a crash when you make camp outside the Druadan forest. This version is much easier than the previous one, with extra skills, and multiple ways to avoid dbs battles. There are flashing prompts (usually yellow or green, or red exclamation boxes) indicating where to go/who to talk to next. Not prompted in this way is any optional content, which is also more avoidable (particularly the bulk of Moria). Also unprompted is when you need to switch parties, though you'll generally reach a sticking point when you do. Not always though, so as to allow access to the optional bits. In particular the optional sidequests of Haldir in the Mirrormere, Saruman of Many Colors in Orthanc, and Pirates of the Caribbean in Umbar/the entire south of the world map.
Seem to have made it through without a hitch over the last few days, but not everything possible, and there was some minor polishing going on during that time so hopefully some new error doesn't crop up. Definitely ran through in less than the advertised 30+ hours with the ability to bribe and escape fights.

So sure enough, I did botch something on the last major update. Fixed a relatively minor bug during ROTK and inadvertently screwed up TTT for sure if you're on the last download (2022.3). Got this new update up immediately, but still working through looking for more problems. Sorry about the inconvenience, expect more updates to come...

There is a problem at the very end if you don't disguise Frodo and Sam with orc armor in mordor and just press through a lot of fights. You guys are persistent, lol. You need to talk to the orc horse racer Puskag or there will be an endless loop during the ending cutscenes. This can be fixed by pressing shift+f9 while playing in the utility and turning ON switch 770:OnToDoom. Sorry about that, doing a major overhaul so a new download will be up soon.
