Sacred Reviews: The Most Dangerous Chicken - Rebwukening

Intro

Oddly enough "The Most Dangerous Chicken: Rebwukening" is going to be a hard project for me to review. This is because as far as I can tell only a few minutes worth of content is actually accessible to the player. I suppose I could be missing something, but I tried interacting with every tree, bush, and cactus I could find. I even walked over every tile I could access on the overworld map and found diddly squat for my efforts beyond a minor mapping mistake. Though, I suppose even in this state this game is still longer than some other projects I've covered in the past like "SpongeBob 2k3".

Story
Summary

You once again play as Clucks, the most dangerous chicken alive, and set out on another adventure in order to end your boredom.

After all, bossing around all of the useless peons in your castle gets old real fast. Though oddly enough there are more useless guards in your castle than there are people in your hometown. And that's all of the story I apparently have access to. Though, there is apparently more to Cluck's epic quest if the screenshots are anything to go by.

Gameplay

As far as I can tell from the small part of the game I have access to this game is a turn-based RPG that makes use of the default combat system used by RPG Maker 2000. Albeit the developer did edit the names of your options a bit to fit the character.

And while the amount of enemies you can find in the starting area is pretty large from your basic slime, to spiders, and kobolds to just name a few. Unfortunately these fights are disappointing in two ways for me. For starters enemies always appear in groups of two or three. You never see mixed groups of enemies like a scorpion and kobold appearing in the same fight. And to make matters worse the fights in this game are super easy. Though, I suppose that shouldn't come as much of a surprise since this is meant to be a crazy comedy game about a chicken that had previously become a queen through the powers of a milkshake only to revert back to the most dangerous chicken to ever live after unleashing a massive fart.

Graphics

As far as I can tell the game relies entirely on the RTP for this aspect of the game. Though if that is truly the case for the entire game I can't be sure, but it definitely appears to be the case for the portion I can mess around in.

Sound

As far as I'm aware this aspect of the game is also entirely based on contents found within the confines of the RTP. As such, I really don't have that much to say about it. While there isn't anything wrong with the stuff found within the RTP. It also means this game sounds like a lot of other games I've played that were made with RPG Maker 2000 over the years.

Minor Bugs

For starters there is a minor mapping bug on the overworld map where you can walk through a small section of a mountain.

And you can talk to one character through a sign.

Conclusion

As it stands I really wouldn't recommend playing this game since there isn't that much content available to the player at the moment. In a way it reminds me of another project I recently reviewed titled "An Earnest Heart: Delve" but that project even contains a note from Liberty to not play it since it's a super early alpha build she released in order to get a badge. Though, I suppose this game at least allows you to beat up a bunch of hapless monsters which is still more thrilling than just being able to wander about a sewer opening empty treasure chests.
