Progress Report

Updates for Call of the Archon 2

I have made a pretty good amount of progress from the last two days, I'm now working on the Island of Evrixia, which was in the last Call of the Archon. There are much more new bosses, and two major dungeons; underneath the Water Palace, the "Tunnels of Leviathan", and the Wind Tower, which will be a 10 map dungeon. Woof. That's a lot of mapping. And monsters are going to hit hard and cause a lot of statuses in the Wind Tower: expect confusion moves, and wind based moves, a gust of wind is kind of confusing.

Though I am also implementing unique skills, that were not done in the first game, ie, definitely was a game by an anonymous person who was new to RPG Maker, and just put it out there to do it. Ashley, like Xenon, is an inventor, rather a Gadgeteer, and has two field skills called "TINKER" and "SYNTHESIZE".

Tinker is a skill when used, along with wrenches, and toolsets, that allows Ashley to modify a weapon that either strengthens the weapon, adds elements, or adds statuses. This is going to be a IF or THEN challenge. Synthesis is a skill, where when used, combines two existing applicable items into one unique item, therefore, in theory, a sword and a shield would made a Bladed Shield. Though Tinkering and Synthesizing doesn't work on everything in the game. That would be a lot of work! :O

What else I'm doing for the game is also reimaging the characters of the game, and adding new characters to the game. The chipsets I'm using are REF SOURCE chipsets, and RTP 2.0 chipsets, and the game looks 100% better than the last one. This Call of the Archon is kinda FF-looking now, but kind of has an Oblivion kind of feel, where there are orders and sanctions in the story. I guess I have my work ahead of me. Though the main character's class change will be an ARCHMAGUS instead of a Paladin, Rafiel. ARCHON=ARCH idk And in this one, there will be a "Future of Desolation", a "Dimension of Darkness", the World of Chaos, the World of the Ordained, and the end of the game, the Black Void. What is it? :O I'm not gonna spoil that!!! Ah yes, and there's 60 dual elemental spells that I animated fully myself, along with 1 set of multi-elemental spells.

I dunno when this game will be done but it's a lot of fun making.
