Laughing Warawau or Warau, Warawau is a free Earthbound inspired JRPG made by Kanao (Kanashimi Hocchikisu) in the year of 2011, and is one of spin-offs of Towelket series.

Synopsys:

A rich, spoiled and wimpy girl named Warawau is teased by her maid again today and heads to school. But on the way, she becomes lost in the strange and mysterious World of Laughter. There she encounters a young kimono-clad girl claiming to be her guide, and goes on a journey through the World of Laughter. A heartwarming tale of a lady and her protector.

Warau Warawau is a spin-off game in the Towelket series, mixing characters and stories from the mainline series with popular fiction, most noticeably Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. There is some turn-based combat like in the mainline series and the game takes you to many exotic, surreal and sometimes disturbing places.

Correct game's release order is: 3, 2, 1, 6, 4, Fury, 5, Wonder Girl! Nekoashi Otome, Laughing Warawau (the rest is untranslated yet).

Important: this game wasn't made by us (Patchy Illusion Team)! The developer allowed the games translation, however.

Warnings:

Chihedo Musubi:
"Hark! This game doth delve into nuanced and potentially
sensitive themes, which may stir the hearts of certain players.
Exercise discretion, dear player."

Holy crap how many games does this franchise have lmao

I'm not complaining! Always pleasant to have one of these pop up in the queue. Thank you for all your effort with the translations.

If I am correct there are EIGHT spin-offs of the series, and this is only the second. By the way I hope the Towelket Kemono, one of the last episodes of the series will be released someday too!

Correct! It's kind of crazy, but the total game count from this author amounts to 18.

There are 9 "mainline" towelket games (10 if we count the game currently in production), 7 spin-off games, and two games that aren't technically related to towelket and/or follow the classical formula, but are part of the same universe, so they can't be ignored.

The mainline games are:
Towelket 3
Towelket 2
Towelket 1
Towelket 6
Towelket 4
Towelket 5 (Fury)
Towelket 5 (Gaugau's bride)
Towelket 0 (Sora Kara Kuru Otome Bakudan) — Some people consider this a spinoff
Towelket Kemono
Towelket Pon (Coming soon)
Edit: The demo of "Towelket Pon" was released today under the name of "Wanwan datte Uchuu no Shinpi"

The spinoffs are:
Wonder girl! Nekoashi Otome
Laughing Warawau
Yoru no Umi de Otsukisama wo Tsuru (Fishing for the Moon in the Night Sea)
Yorumorukimiri
Yorumorukimiri ~Shippotachi no Kizuna~ (Bond of the Tails)
Yorumorukimiri ~Hajimari no Shoujo~ (The Girl of the Beginning)
Dekapari

And finally the two related games are
Light Magic 2 (which is like a pre-towelket and or first entry of the series before they became Towelket)
Oni Maga tsu Toki

There are also some remakes of the older games, but I don't think those count towards the final tally.

Our plans are translating all the free games, so eventually we'll get there.
Considering Kemono came out recently, and it's a free game, I think that may be translated sooner than any of the other earlier games that are paid.
