First of all, hurrah Jaymonius' first review of a game.

Alright... know that I am going to be very harsh when it comes to reviewing, so if the score you think is un-fair then I'm afraid you will have to deal with it because this is my point of view, alright? Here we go.

Gameplay 2/5
The game itself is delivering what you are supposed to go and do, beat up bosses and progress through the game, that is fine and all. However I have had a game glitching problem near the end of the game, I mentioned to you that you should just get rid of the skip scene thing, because in most RPG's there is rarely a "skip scene" button, it give me the impression you were leaning on the Star Ocean series for the idea, it isn't a bad thing mind you, but you could have utilized the concept of skipping scenes a little more carefully, making the thing is really easy to do.

My 2nd beef with this game is that you walk too damn slow, for a short game it sure felt like 10 minutes before I got to the next boss, I will have to admit I went into the game and made a small event where I press the shift button to make him go faster so I can recover my men and buy my stuff and then when I got back to the boss I'd hit shift to make the speed go back to normal.

Considering the game is supposed to be a boss rush, Ephiam actually added a pretty unique story this time compaired to his last previous installments. This one follows the death of a man who killed a boy and is now walking in the Asylum to find the truth and stuff. The end I think seemed pretty obvious how the entire plot went but I still give you props for coming up with a unique idea, the way some of the characters you showed like the glasses guy, he really suprised me at the end when he tells you the absolute truth. But what drove me back was the generic "HA HA HA, I'M A SUPER EVIL DEMON HA HA HA, I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS" attitude of a demon. You would think he wouldn't be a pychotic demon thing, but that is once again me with my nitpicking.

Graphics: 2/5

The mapping is sorta below average but once again I don't think you really need to put up much detail since it being a short game and a boss rush. So I can bend the rules a bit there, however I will not turn a stone when it came to monster usage. I have to agree with some the others who made comments about this on your front page on this, you could've used something other than FF6 monsters, expand your horizons and such. (Although I really did like that huge demon form, that looked pretty good.) But all around the graphics could've used some work, I won't complain about the Star Ocean characters... but once again with my major nitpicking... you DID steal exact animations from Phantasia 3, and that is a big no no. You can steal the spritesheet, but not the exact animation.

Music and Sound: 4/5

I love music, I really do, you did use some interesting music in this but what turned me away was the FF Music, you had a lot of bosses, you could've added a huge variety of boss music from many other games to give the player something else to listen to an anticipate what he'll play next on what boss. Once again Ephaim, expand your horizons.

Your game is good Ephiam, I like the thought of a game of just beating up bosses and nothing else with a little story added, but you really could've done more to this game and give it more of a shine, the dark feel of the game was good; but the small things really annoyed me, I hope you take this review to consideration. I like the Dragon Fantasy series, and the Boss Projects are good, but a little more can be done with the game. Expand Mr. Ephiam.. EXPAND!

I notice you gave it roughly an F in gameplay, despite naming two seemingly minor flaws. Were there other gameplay issues as well, that you neglected to post?
Not a bad review! It's pretty good, actually. It's doing fairly well for a boss gauntlet type of dealie.

But I'll also have to ask the same question as Mr.Productions up there. Were there any other real -bad- flaws that made the gameplay score get what it did?
