The game we need, but not the one we deserve!

Hello!
I was waiting for RMN's Australian Christmas since 2022! And HERE it is!!!
Wait... "April Fools version"? What's this? Oh it's a game made for the April Fools event, based on another game, the unreleased planned expansion for RMN Holiday Calendar, something that I'm expecting it like the Chinese Democracy album by Guns'n Roses (that started being recorded in 1998 and was released TEN years later. I hope that Frogge will take less than 10 years!).
Uhm ok, anyway this is a game by Frogge (I'm not going to tell you what this dev did, ok? Do your researches this time!), so I guess I have to play it.
Let's have a recap of the 2022 project: we're flying to Australia to meet Liberty for Christmas. That's it, and in this episode we actually meet Liberty that ask us to find... three bananas!Oh yes, one of the most popular autstralian fruits, so this will be an easy tasks isn't it? Well, no it isn't!
I am really going to do this! TRUST ME! :)
So, in this parody (or better, bad-adaptation) of the classic Atari games (even if Frogge claimed he never played one, but NEITHER did I, so it's ok!) like Entombed, Montezuma's Revenge, Agent57 or the infamous ET to mention some.
The game actually resembles the good old Zelda, but with no weapons, even if there are many hostile creatures that can defeat you with a single touch! Anyway do not fear, there are no lives in this game and each time you die you will be revived by Liberty. Back to square one with what you collected so far.
Oh yes, the game does not includes just bananas, but also other useful items that will be needed to solve some simple tasks, like an ice cream, a shovel and a fishing rod, anyway don't worry there is NO fishing minigame here! The only issue is that you can actually hold one item each time, the only exceptions are the bananas and the flippers, and I won't tell you why you will need them, it's not really so difficult to understand, I guess!
Anyway as I mentioned before there are also enemies, the terrible fauna of Australia. These can have two kinds of behaviour, in some cases they will move in pre-determined patters, and in others they instead actively seek to eat us. In the second case they're pretty dangerous, also because they always move rather quickly and there is always little space to move.
Graphically the game well resembles those ancient games I mentioned before, despite being made with RPG Maker 2003. The interface is bare bones, but ok, it works well and is appropriate like the font used, also there is no game menu. What else? Oh yes the game includes many cameos of several members of the community. So this is an event AND a community game.
Ony one banana left! And I need Ellie's secret to find it...
Final Verdict
Oh yes, I gave a rating. The game is short but not so short, anyway it's pretty good if you take it as a parody, and it's also pretty fun (maybe aside for the part with the water serpents). I only found one of the secrets a bit tricky to get (since requires to go on an exactly precise tile and press the action key, uhm ok!). For the rest I appreciated very much the idea of doing something different, and it works. It works well. Nothing bad, really. A bootleg edition? That's also a community game?? For the April Fools event??? Genius!

Thanks for the review Addict! I'm tempted to include a remastered version of this with Australian Christmas when it does eventually actually release so it helps to see what could be improved on.
