Battle System Updates

Almost done with the battle system. Sadly most features are internal so it's very hard to update with information the player is barely aware of.

These are some of the new features of the battle system that can be seen.



Turn counter

Probably the most notable change is the turn counter which helps you determine when a characters actions will take place during a turn.

Skill & Item detail information

The Item and Skill windows have a small addition to display detailed information such as what kind of skill or item you have chosen and information related to their use.

Status & Enemy HP display

The status displays was changed from named states to icon display which shows each state icon for about 30 frames and changes to the next one if another state exist, looping through all states.

The enemy HP display shows the enemies HP when targetting it along with the status icons if it's afflicted by a status effect. HP when first meeting an enemy is displayed by with black bar that shows a ?, after an enemy has been defeated or a special ability is used to display it's HP it displays a red bar.

Hey! I've only vaguely heard about this game until now but it looks really cool!
This is shaping up to look fairly interesting. I look forward to trying it out some day. :3
