how did you do this? did you use mode 7 or something?
That was coded from scratch , like most of my minigames...it's not really 3d, it just uses a series of overlaid picture sprites for the road and trees and zoomed/rotated sprites for the chasing jeeps and planes to create a sorta, kinda 3D-like effect. The most effort in getting it to work was actually the creation of the forest pictures...the background consists of 3 pictures, one for the sky/mountains, one for the road, and one for the trees (and another one for your jeep, which is technically also part of the background). The game cycles through several frames for the road and tree pictures to create an illusion of movement, and everything bounces and shakes around to simulate your jeep hopping over a rough stretch of road. Lining up the trees for the individual frames of the animation was a bitch - the animation is still a bit choppy, but everything moves pretty fast so you don't really notice it :)
